Grand Strand Coffee Bar-AKA Eric’s Place

A true gem of a coffee shop! If you're looking for a great place for good coffee and breakfast fare anywhere near Carolina Shores, NC, this is the place!

The owner, Eric, is a one-man band who makes all of the bagels, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, etc. himself. He bakes all of the items on the premises, so everything is fresh. He can deliver some hilarious and mildly sarcastic comments when ordering. Full disclosure: the t-shirt on the wall behind the counter gives fair warning. The demeanor of Eric and the down home decor gives this place a very pleasant charm.

The food was delicious. The bagels are as close to New York style as you can get outside of the Big Apple. They were wonderful!

Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed!

Eric is a wonderful person and his Coffee is great! He remembers my order everytime I go there. The breakfast sandwiches on Croissants are so tasty!

This place is our go-to! Everything is delicious and reasonably priced. The owner is incredible- he is there every day running the shop by himself and even bakes the pastries daily! If you could only order one thing on the menu, his specialty drinks are the best like the iced Milky Way or the iced almond joy! The owner, Eric, is always making us laugh. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in town!

Love this little hidden gem of a coffee shop! Eric is so nice and can make the perfect drink. The drink menu is way better than Starbucks or Dunkin, even the baked goods are awesome. The local art for sale is also a warming touch, a mini gallery!

I was there to grab a cup of coffee and bagel otw out of town. we had a quick visit to Myrtle but my visit to Erics coffee shop was very memorable. I truly admired his work ethic and bounce to his step! I enjoyed the camaraderie with his customers in house and going through the drive through! I had a six hour drive and thought about the experience a lot! definitely the cherry to the visit!

We were heading home from a fantastic vacation and wanted a little coffee to start the day off so we stopped here at Grand Strand Coffee Bar and ordered 2 Carmel Frappes and a Cranberry and Orange muffin and a couple of cinnamon twists.The owner was the one who was there and he said he baked everything fresh everyday.I would highly recommend his Frappes and the baked foods as well! Everything is phenomenal! We will definitely go back ! Great way to start the day !

This place is not too bad, and the gentleman did give me some extra foam when I asked for it, but I initially did not get as much foam as I expect in a latte. I pay out for a latte and 99% of the time it's pretty good or excellent. This time it had almost no foam at all, and the gentleman argued that I should be ordering a cappuccino if I wanted more foam, but that doesn't actually make sense to me since 99% of the time I order a latte it has the perfect amount of foam and it's wonderful. In any event he fixed it. I say that but then I did not find the coffee to be flavorful at all. I only liked it after putting a lot of cinnamon, which they at least did have without sugar, so that was good....

Great little hole in the wall! We come here multiple times a week each time we are on vacation. With fresh baked goods, coffees and milkshakes, there's a little something for everyone. Eric can make anyone smile, so if you need a pick me up, you must stop by.

This is our everyday stop for our coffee fix when we are in the area. Great coffee and baked goods. They have drive thru for quick pick up or you can just go in, relax and enjoy.

Coffee might be good but the service is below one star.
The owner seems to be in a bad mood ALL THE TIME!
