Met the owner, lovely lady. Fun, knowledgable staff. Great vibe and even better espresso. Thats all we had, 2 double espressos, standing at the counter. So thats all I can speak to But the coffee, oh the coffee. Perfect temp and taste. Well done Malama mama!

Malama is my go-to coffee spot in Carolina Beach. Very friendly staff has me coming back, along with the great coffee, food and atmosphere.

My husband and I found this gem while on vacation and had fabulous latte’s and breakfast sandwiches every morning! The staff is so friendly and accommodating! Wish we had one of these in Ohio!!

Where do we even start! The service, quality of food and drinks and atmosphere are absolutely incredible. You feel so special everytime you enter this establishment, each time my wife and I entered we felt like family. We also loved the lengths Malama goes to take care of the environment. Without a doubt, this is the greatest coffee shop we have ever been to. Ps: get a latte, you won't regret it!

The place is always busy but the orders are taken rather quickly. We decided to wait inside, right by the area with the hanging chair.
When my latte was ready, I looked at it upon picking it up and it made me smile, there was a heart created with the milk. After tasting it I felt happy. It was as if someone had given me a hug I never knew I needed. Yes! Believe me, it was that good. I just felt immensely happy sip after sip.

I had ordered different items for my family and they were all delicious. But I ordered the “Up Stream” for me. It was heavenly! I couldn’t stop smiling, my family even noticed. Happiness and gratitude just took over me.
For the next three days, we were there again. And each time the customer service was incredible. Those lattes and that “up stream”, I’m telling you, they really are that anazing. I was saddened when we had to leave town, as we were just visiting. But believe me, next time I’m in Carolina Beach, I’ll definitely be at Malama.

If you want clean, delicious food, stop by. You may leave just like I did — incredibly happy.

Really enjoyed the food. I think over a couple days we tried almost everything. Love the hurricane smoothie, the blt, the burrito, the very berry and the croissant sandwich(forget the name)

Great tasting espresso - sometimes I feel like it is hard to find a flavorful light espresso, but the americano I ordered was great! And staff was very friendly. Very cute environment and great place for a coffee pick-me-up

Probably the hippest cafe you will find on the island. Their acai bowl was absolutely delicious, but missed having any kind of nutbutter on it. Maybe they would have had some had I asked but I had already left. The chicken hawaii wrap was a bit tasteless but good nevertheless. My husband had an amazing breakfast wrap and his coffee was great, so was my chai latte. My daughter‘s muffin was so delicious, I ate half of it ... 😅
