Quaint market and espresso shop that offers a nice range of coffee drinks, fresh cut meats, and gift shop items. Very cool mashup of items for sale. The meats looked super delicious. Their espresso is great and provides nice pastries as well.
The staff were super friendly and inviting. They have a nice area of seating inside and outside with heat lamps on the outdoor porch for those colder days. Definitely a hole in the wall place that requires googling to find but a worthwhile stop for some coffee.
Jomo lights up any conversation he’s a part of! I’m not even a huge coffee nerd, but I could sit at his shop and watch him do his thing all day. He’s a well loved and respected member of the Black Mountain community. Definitely stop by next time you’re in town!
****update**** New location- 107 Black Mountain Ave right across the street where they used to be.
Large covered patio and plenty of interior seating with large tables for groups. Coffees have still got that personal touch and they’ve added yummy new breakfast sandwiches and options :). CHEERS!!!
Had some time while going through Black Mountain and needed some fuel for our morning. We have been to the WNC Collective for outdoor gear shopping and live music and the small tap room in the back (each business shared the space) but never for the morning Cup of Jomo. The staff was very friendly and super efficient. We enjoyed a basic drip coffee and an iced mocha. Great outdoor seating and cool little building. Will come again for “refueling” for sure. Cheers!!!
Loved my campfire mocha, first time ever having cayenne in my coffee and it was amazing! Joseph has the type of personality that makes anyone feel welcome, will definitely be coming back whenever I'm in Black Mountain!
Joe is always my go-to barista when in the Black Mountain area! He's friendly, knowledgeable, and a fantastic barista to boot. The semi-outdoor setting is nice to relax in while you sip & enjoy your beverage of choice from his wide variety of available options. Follow @cupofjomo on social media!
I can’t say enough about this coffee shop. There’s coffee or bar in this little remains of old buildings, a cool mix of urban industrial architecture and small town, friendly vibes. I love their coffee and the drinks, the ambience, music, old brick walls and open roofless layout, and the nice people.
Joseph is the best of the best. super passionate about the craft of coffee and you can taste that in every drink they make. he’s also a great person to talk to and always makes people’s days better with his demeanour and his drinks. This place is an awesome addition to Black Mountain and well worth the trip to stop by.
The absolute best. My partner and I spent a few days in Black Mountain and Jomo happened to be the very first spot we stepped into! Joseph set the tone of the entire week for us with absolute kindness, positivity, and of course, incredible coffee and matcha! When we found ourselves seeking a new spot to stay for a few nights, we made sure we'd be in walking distance to our new favorite place. I assure you that Jomo is a must visit. It'll fill your cup and your heart <3 Can't wait to go back.
