The most vibey coffee shop I’ve ever been to.

I have tried REALLY hard to like Summit Coffee. They are in a cool location and have so much potential - but the customer service is just so bad. I have been 4-5 times recently, and the first time my latte was barely warm. Next time I asked for it extra hot, and it was barely warm again. Each time I have asked for it piping hot, and the barista's response was "we measure the temperature with our hand." Which I know to be true since I've worked at a coffee shop. That being said, make it extra hot! The other baristas hardly acknowledge your presence when serving you. PASS.

My coffee was cold & tasted like coffee flavored water. I asked f/cream &sugar & they said they have to put it in but ever asked how much. I asked for packets & they had none. Suggest they spend more time preparing the coffee the way the customer wants it instead of being mask nazis. Don’t waste your time or money.

Nice location but customer service is not good here. The workers are unprofessional, disorganized, and seem to really not care. For instance, the barista messed up my drinks multiple times, drinks don’t taste the same, and restrooms are not clean. They also have this unwelcoming demeanor to specific customers (trust me, I have been there enough times to notice that). With proper management, I can see that the coffee shop has the potential to grow but its current state is in a shambles.
So to change my work environment, I went to the Odd’s Café for the first time today (I’ve heard good things but never been). Customer service, the taste of the coffee, ambiance, and cleanliness of the café exceeds expectations.

Very rude staff. Came here to grab a local coffee only to be attended by a rude gentlemen. He asked what we would would like, we asked for a moment to look at the menu. He immediately replied with “just so you know, we close in 4 minutes”. We ordered our latte after feeling as we imposed on them. When we received our coffees, they got the order completely wrong (type of milk). I wanted a large whole milk latte and my girlfriend wanted a small almond latter. We got a small whole milk latte and she got a large almond latte. I would have asked to have this fixed, but would have hated to ask them to fix their mistake since they were obviously in a rush to leave.

Wow! I've never had such a horrible experience! The amount of passive-aggressiveness of the baristas was staggering. After asking for "an extra shot of espresso" in my drink, I was curtly informed that they cannot add single shots. No problem, I quietly went on my way and waited for my cappuccino.
Once the drink was ready, I picked it up and the weight of it felt as if it were a cup full of milk with zero milk foam. I politely asked if it was in fact my drink (because 100% of all cappuccinos I've had in my 40 years of life so far have been somewhat lightweight and airy with milk foam) and one of the baristas instantly ran over and began her lecture.
In the most condescending tone ever recorded in the history of this planet, she began her rant about how "the idea of cappuccinos made with milk foam is the CORPORATE AMERICA definition of a cappuccino." I was perplexed. When I repeated what she said (to make sure I was understanding her correctly,) one of the other baristas joined in the lecturing.
I replied by saying I would research the history of cappuccinos before I leave a Google review and one of the baristas said "Oh, now you are THREATENING us?" Is it really a threat to calmly state that I intend to leave a review? Why are the baristas at this location so incredibly angry?
It was at this point that I stated I would just prefer a refund. This led to complete pandemonium as the baristas all put their minds together to try and discover how to apply a refund. As I patiently waited, a random patron began to have a complete meltdown because of how long the refund process was taking.
P.S. - I looked up the definition of a cappuccino and I'm pleased to see that I was right all along:
"Cappuccino is an espresso-based coffee drink that originated in Austria with later development taking place in Italy, and is prepared with steamed milk foam (microfoam)."
To the baristas of this facility - please stop desperately trying SO hard to seem unique. It's just pure cringe.

We had bagels and coffee and they were very good. With so many places to try in Asheville, it was a bit overwhelming to choose which one to go to. But Summit was a solid option. I wish I could have gone back to try more. Give it a try you won't regret it.

Poor quality capuchinno. Coffee was bland. Only had whole, almond or oat milk. capuchinno with anything other than skim milk is not a capuchinno. I picked whole milk watered down. Served in an itty bitty paper cup (for dine in).
If service had not been nice would give it 2 stars.
Threw most of it away.

The best tea place I’ve ever been to! Friendly staff. Was the highlight of my vacation to get up every morning and get tea from here. The matcha rose tea is my favorite.

Stopped for some coffee after visiting the River Arts District. The staff was friendly and attentive. The coffee was very good. The staff also were very helpful and suggested a few places to see while we were visiting. Sorry I can't remember her name, but the nice red haired girl was also a UNC sports fan which is always a plus in my opinion.
