Amazing pastries and cute shop

Very friendly gentleman at the counter. He offered to let me try their three (3) available roasts as I mentioned this was my first visit. I landed on the medium roast; less fruity, more full-bodied. I hope to bring my fiancé back soon!

So they have a decent nitro cold brew at a really cheap price. The inside was very cluttered otherwise I would have given it five stars. But the visual experience was lacking.

Where do I start? He didn't know the coffee he ordered to roast next week, so how do you plan what roast you will be doing next week? I love coffee, more than just about anything, but he uses cheap filters (bleached) for his pour over and Combined with the above... Well I guess I might have some from up the street....

All of the smells. Drip coffee was excellent. Service was sub par.

Excellent coffee. They've got a ton of varieties, including some truly delicious decaf.

My new go-to for decaf beans.

Great place for coffee and whole beans

I love coffee, I've lived in Asheville for over 3 years & Penny Cup Roasters are the best local roasters. Period. The people are pretty awesome, too.

i wish there was a 10 star option - penny cup deserves 20 stars. outstanding, fresh and obviously loved coffee, roasted and served by some of the kindest and most humble folks i know. there's a reason they're growing like a weed - pennycup is where it's at!
