Izzy's Coffee House

Love the calm relaxing open air feel of this place. I'm usually very very picky about coffee and I have yet to be even slightly disappointed. I always order the same thing and it is dead on every single time. My favorite coffee shop in or around Asheville for sure!

The barista was real nice to my white wife but not my Mexican sister. Not sure if it was the color of her skin or the fact she is a tourist. Very Asheville tolerant in theory not in practice. Not sure if anyone here understands the economy here runs on tourism!!!!

Coffee is really good, the bagels and cream cheese are good, parking is easy and theres an upstairs if it's full downstairs. I have a weird love/obsession with their black cups/black lids. No reason why, I just love them.

I got the three bean Delight or whatever it was called with chocolate and espresso and it was not very good. Too bitter and didn't taste any chocolate. It was a little disappointing. The Bagel was fresh and tasty and the environment was very nice though.

Izzy's in West asheville is a solid addition to the neighborhood with reliably good coffee from an interesting assortment of roasters, and quick friendly service. Atmosphere is calm and quiet, a good place for a quick meeting or getting a bit of work done. Service is also usually very quick, even during morning rush hours.

Best hot chocolate I've ever had in the states....second only to one made be a molecular gastronomist in St. Martin. The Frozen Fix was just as phenomenal as the film Frozen.

Visiting from CO. Super cute place, I like the art they were selling as well. Got a tea and an everything bagel. Yum!

Filthy & disgustingly dirty, beyond all belief! Wood tables with pine knot holes where holes are filled with old, decaying debris, sugar, God knows what. Sticky, grunge-coated tables. My coffee cup was not even clean, had some kind of dried up residue on it! Toilet seat & ring literally covered with layers of old & new urine spots, drips, dust, hair etc. Chairs & others surfaces nasty.

I am quite a messy person myself & not always sanitary, but this revolted even me, and that's saying a lot. Plus I asked for a mocha coffee, so barista squirted a bit of chocolate syrup into my cup from a plain old cheap plastic ketchup squirt bottle?? Then she charged me over $3.50. We will NEVER go back to any Izzy's. It was just too much omg. There are more than a plenty of other, far better coffee shops in beautiful Asheville!
