Bread Alone Bakery

Visited on three occasions last week. On Friday and Saturday, the baked goods were fresh and high quality and staff efficient, if not friendly.

On Sunday the 24th, service was poor. It was busy, and the woman ahead of me asked if I would hold her spot a moment so she could put her things down. I said yes, of course. The woman behind me was near enough to hear this exchange.

In the 20 seconds she was gone, her turn came up. I noted she was next, but I placed my order as the staff person was unwilling to wait a moment. The customer returned before my order was rung—but another staff member appeared to deliberately ignore the customer. I noted again that that woman was next. The staff member helping me said, “ok, if you (meaning me) insist,” as if the courtesy was a burden to her. Of course I insisted.

Friendliness isn’t necessary, but simple courtesy—a fundamental of customer service—is. Since when has rudeness become the standard?

I like the place. Coffee is good, not great. Pastries are great, just overpriced in my opinion.

Good muffins and coffee. Breakfast with eggs and a roll was also good.

Small bakery with seating for pastries, breakfast and lunch, and cakes. Breakfast burrito was very tasty as was their morning bun.

One of my fave places for lunch or a cuppa. Great people watching!

Price wise very high, food quality very good.
Coffee was weak, I recommend the espresso! Time your visit to avoid wait time.
Or order ahead of time.
