Union Cafe

The food was decent. The service was great. I went there in the mood for an omelette, On the menu it's said create your own for 7.99$ Long story short I ended up eating a 20$ omelette for 1 person. That made me upset bc I could of went to the store and made 10 omelettes for 20$. Usually eating at a diner is suppose to be cheap .

My work has me on the road for most lunches so I eat at a lot of local diners. As I recently said to the owner I now find myself looking for reasons to be on Union Street at lunch time and happily recommend the spot to Friends and take friends there to eat. The staff is friendly and well trained, a waitress recently had to interrupt our conversation and actually apologized for the interruption. The food is great, the rest rooms clean. Just get there early for breakfast or lunch to make sure you get a seat.

Really, very good food, but very over priced. The wait staff were awesome. Would not return only because the pricing is ridiculous.
1 sandwich and 1 hot tea totaled $17.00. The thing that got me was a cup of hot water with a lipton tea bag costed $3.00. Maybe if you offered flavored tea, I could rationalize $3.00...

I had the Florentine quiche and home fries. It was delicious the waitress very pleasant and attentive, but not intrusive. The coffee was good the service was quick and we will return here again.

The food was never great but it was ok and convenient and we had good service from one waiter, who we thought was the owner. However, last time we came and brought family.and there were plenty of empty tables (no line) so we asked to be seated outside because it is easier for my little daughter who uses a wheelchair and it was a nice day. The woman said she promised someone else the table (there were 3 empty). We offered to wait but she came up with every excuse, to try to get us to sit inside. When I said that we were repeat business she said, "I am the boss and owner and I don't need repeat business". Wow! Who would say that to a customer? We all left and went across the street to Tesoros Cafe. The food is much better and we have been there at least once a week since! We bring everyone there that we know. A happy ending for us:)

This restraunt is a great family restraunt. The staff are friendly and very pleasant. The restraunt doesn't rush you to order or to finish your meal. They have a nice variety of food in their menu. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I do wish they had more parking however their is enough street parking that it's still convenient.

When I'm back in town the union cafe is my family's first Sunday breakfast spot. The service is amazing and the food is out of this world. Eggs Benedict with crab meet on top WOW. I'm hungry just thinking about it.

Terrible food, Order breakfast that came poorly made home fries taste like they were microwaved, eggs were basically raw and items were missing from food(no bacon). Never again!

I was in Sunday for breakfast. The waitress charged my debit card for not only my table but another one as well. She never told me of her mistake. I realized what happened after leaving. I returned to ask and was treated like it was no big deal, was told it would be credited to my account. It is now Tuesday and I am still waiting for the "credit". I understand that mistakes happen, but based on the poor way it was handled, my still waiting for the credit, and having to be inconvenienced by all of this, I will not be returning.

Nice to be able to walk there, have been there several times never had an issue. Only been there for breakfast.
