This is essentially a Greek-style diner, but serving only breakfast and lunch in a sandwich-shop storefront.

We're very happy to have a place like this in the neighborhood, but now that we've been there four times, it must be concluded that the slow service is endemic to the place and not just a feature of their burn-in period. Since the meals we eat here are, almost by definition, fit in around the work day, this is not good. We've also had to ask for missing things multiple times on all but one trip.

The cooking is decent, above average for diner fare but without much in the way of signature originality. We've tried most of the greek favorites and some standard things off the menu. The reuben and burgers are good, wraps good but quite small, salads the usual non-greenery stuff, and the greek stuff (souvlaki, etc.) is good but not wonderful. The gyros are well above average.

They're very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed, so if you're not in a hurry and want homey diner stuff, go ahead. If you have to get back to work, like we do, you will want to time your visits for days when you don't have to get back on time.

The food was great and the staff was exceptional. Probably the best customer service I've ever had at a Cafe in the capital region. Definitely a favorite spot for me.

Food is overpriced for what it's worth. I ordered a stack of two pancakes with fresh blueberries (I could count about 10 blueberries in my plate) and it cost about 9 dollars. Then if you want a real maple syrup you have to pay extra $1.60, otherwise you have to eat it with a crappy "breakfast syrup" where the first two ingredients are corn syrup and hight fructose corn syrup. So if you want to enjoy your already-expensive pancakes, you have to choose between a bad unhealthy syrup, or you have to pay extra.

This neighborhood cafe has an inviting and relaxed atmosphere, excellent breakfast food, and friendly, fast service. The french toast, fried eggs, skillet potatoes, and bacon were all high-quality and perfectly cooked.

Went there with 3 other people. 2 gyros a burger and a sandwhich were ordered. We then sat and watched 3 other groups enter, order, eat, and leave before we got our food. We looked over at the counter and our food had just been sitting there. We asked about it and the waiter rudely told us "dont your think i would have brought it out by now if it was ready?" It took 45 minutes after ordering for our food to show up. And then the waiter starts arguing with us over the wait whilst making excuses for why he sucks. Ill never go back. Should have gone to gershons deli.

We enjoyed our lunch here very much. Homemade diner type food with a few surprising twists. Staff very friendly and helpful. Casual, warm atmosphere.

I ate here a couple of times. I do remember this restaurant was at one time years ago used be be a old Pizza Hut. I do remember working here when it was a Pizza Hut, which was a delivery/carryout from 1998, after when the Pizza Hut on Altamont Avenue, which was a dine-in that closed down which was a very first one that I worked at (a time when I got transfered here), to until 2009, (when it moved down the street), which was total of 11 years when I worked here, just at this Pizza Hut location alone. Inside of that restaurant, there are booths at one side, and tables and chairs at the other. People who own it have a Greek accent, and are friendly. The facade of this restaurant has changed a bit, and it has a outdoor patio out in front of it. When I set foot inside that restaurant (Union Cafe), everything inside there to me looked a bit familiar at the time when it was a Pizza Hut back when I was working there.

Fantastic! Service was very good and the food was delicious. One of the better breakfasts in the area.

The good life

I like their food. The place is clean the reason I am giving it only 3 stars is because they are expensive. They have fast service and a nice menu

I've only been here once but it was very good. I just can't give 5 stars to any place that serve breakfast and doesn't have eggs Benedict on the menu.
