I have no issue paying $6 for an iced black coffee... but it better be awesome. Nope... You can tell it had sat over night and was soured. The doughnuts looked amazing but in my experience the fancier a doughnut looks the more disappointed i am in the taste. Sorry I'm a purist when it comes to that... Probably not going to try this place again b/c there are so many cute places to grab a café.... and the 4 rude baristas should probably note that... as their attitude can affect business & tip.

Coffee was good ($3 for a 12-oz cup, which, while over my price range, was better than I expected for the location. I bought a couple of donuts ($4 each) and they looked terrific (I actually had brought a sandwich with me to eat while I did my laundry across the street). Service was quick and smart. My only issue was that it was packed, no-one was wearing a mask and the door was closed (on a lovely morning). Not the best idea during a pandemic, even if it has waned and most people are vaccinated. They need to do a better job with this.

Actually the best donuts I’ve had in my life. I’ve never tasted anything like the maple donut. And for the jelly donuts, the filling isn’t too sweet. You can tell they use quality ingredients. Absolutely amazing.

Staff are always pleasant 😊 we always get the same drink....honey lavender with oatmilk which is delicious. The donuts are a delight with various combinations and are always freshly made. Pay attention to times during off season. Always a good place for coffee and a treat. Also have breakfast sandwiches.

Sleepy, comfortable, friendly and slightly faster than average service. Love their drinks and the design inside the store. It’s a cross between aesthetic and great coffee. This place is a go to for their donuts (my personal favorite is the lemon poppy) and their sandwiches look heavenly (they use their donuts as the bread)! Gotta try this place at least once, it’s the bomb hip coffee joint in sag harbor. 10/10 would always stop in if I drive out there.

Hi I’m 16, just so you guys know your getting a teen’s input lol. I think I left a review for Grindstone once on a separate account, but I’m doing it again because this place really is amazing! I’m a regular and come in a lot. I usually get a large hot chai and sometimes a cinnamon sugar or Boston cream donut. (I miss the churro donuts they haven’t been around in a while. You guys should bring them back 👀😂) I hate seeing the few negative reviews left by tourists over the summer, because the staff are super nice and honestly if they seem like they’re being rude, consider how much stamina a job in the Hamptons during the summer takes! You only know once you’ve experienced it 🙋‍♀️Also, I’ve had some really nice conversations with the staff about hair and other things. One time I actually got the wrong drink (it was so loud that they couldn’t hear exactly what I said, not anyone’s fault at all) and they actually sent someone to run over the drink to where I work (provisions) 🥺 it was really sweet. It meant a lot to me because when I realized it was the wrong drink, I have really bad anxiety and I didn’t want them to have to make another especially in the rush of the summer, so I told them it was alright. Yet they took the time out of their day to make the right drink and dropped it off at my workplace for free. It absolutely made my day. Also, their sandwiches are good too! I don’t get them as often, but still are super duper yummy! Anyway, this is a great business. I used to live in NYC and often go there a lot and honestly, I don’t think any coffee shops I’ve been to there can compare. Keep up the great work and don’t let rude customers get you down!! Donut Gem of Sag Harbor 👍🏻

Working in Sag Harbor for the month & this is a go-to spot for a quick latte (honey lavender is my favorite) & a donut (maple sea salt is my favorite). Lovely staff. Very attentive. It gets very busy so I usually place an online order — skips the line. I recommend reminding them that you placed an online order cause they don’t always have it ready but its fine — it’s worth wait.

Nice coffee. We had the regular brew. Lots of excellent doughnuts, walk across from the Marina. Couple of benches for sitting outside and enjoying the coffee. Take your coffee and walk through the town shops. There's a memorial to the Union soldiers from this area. Lots of great flowers and elegant buildings.

I'm from Chicago, so I know a good donut. This place is very overpriced and tasteless. The Baristas are very snotty. But, you don't have to go to see where they get their attitude. Just look how the owner answers his negative reviews.. In response to the owner, you are not from Chicago. You only got your business cause your stepfather michael symon
