A little cramped inside (better in the summer when they have plenty of seating outside) but the coffee and food is good. A little on the pricy side, but that doesn’t bug me. I always enjoy my visits here, but usually want to take my stuff to go.

Great food and coffee options, needs an exhaust fan for the cooking smell

Touted as a "Zen" environment, but even though it wasn't busy every customer was given a beeper coaster and so about once a minute a shrill beep would go off, negating any Zen feel. The artwork, while interesting/compelling, can only be described as dystopia aggro, again not at all Zen. The staff was super friendly, however they neglected to take our complete order and did not read back to confirm so we got only 1 of two breakfast items. This was an innocent miscommunication, but we did not have time to wait for it to be corrected. Again the staff was super friendly and wanted to correct the mistake, we just didn't have the time to wait.

Never been here or heard of this place before, so I had low expectations going in. While the breakfast sandwich I had was outstanding, just a bacon egg muffin thing, the chai tea latte was perhaps the best I have ever had. I ordered a second one to go when we were done eating. Need to go back and try more of the menu

Great coffee and an amazing breakfast sandwich! Loved all the cool lighting accents and the modernized take on an old building. The staff was really friendly and attentive, even when the place was busy. Was immaculately clean and well laid out. Great addition to NOTA. Glad to have fun and unique places like Matilda in ROC. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

The sandwiches and paninis are consistently excellent- really liked the Cuban when they had it and the caprese is delic. Coffee is great as is the staff. Last I checked you couldn’t order online and it’s popular so plan a little bit of wait time.

Loved this coffee shop! I got the Elvis toast and it was great.

My wife and I hadn't been here before, since loving upstate from New York City, and we felt right at home in this neighborhood and coffee shop. It was filled with people our ages and felt like wed walked right back into Manhattan. The breakfast sandwich we had with our tea and coffee was incredible and we've wanted to order it again ever since our first visit.
