Taste Budd's Cafe

Really nice and spacious cafe in Red Hook, upstate New York near Bard College. Spacious, comfortable, and vegan options were available. Pleasant staff, pleasant atmosphere and restrooms available.

I've been going here for the past 5 years (since I first started at a local college), and it never disappoints. A great spot to sit and get work done (I actually finished my senior thesis here) with tasty food and bevvies. Since I started working full time, I go there once a week and grab lunch. The food is consistently delicious (veggie wrap, beet-it burger, and now the vegan bacon, egg, cheese -- YUM) and don't even get me started on the desserts.
Last night, I placed an online order and the wifi went down so it didn't go through their system. The staff was so kind while I waited for my food to be cooked and they also gave me a free soda and banana bread. Not only that, but they refunded me for what I bought. Next time I get a chance, I'm dropping a $20 tip, they were so fantastic. And for something that, in my opinion, was super understandable. Thanks as always for a wonderful meal and I'll be back for my weekly lunch. :D

The food was fresh and delicious (loved the dessert), the staff courteous and pleasant, and the atmosphere cozy and relaxing. We went there as a part of celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday and definitely plan to come back.

Even working right next door I still ordered my food ahead to make sure that I was ready precisely when I wanted to take my lunch break! I ordered it online around noon to be ready for 12:30, but it wasn't officially ready until 12:45, which was not a big deal for me, but might be a big deal for others. The online ordering was easy to navigate. They sent me updates the entire time about when my order was confirmed, missing menu items, when exactly my order would be prepared, and when it was ready for pickup. It was so easy and wonderful. I ordered the chicken curry salad and it was absolutely delicious! 10/10 will be ordering again!

No dogs allowed, couldnt even order, they asked us to go outside and order online instead. No sign, dog bowl outside, lost pet board inside. Been to 1000 coffee shops - never been asked to go outside and order online, never going back.

As always there is a good selection of food and drink. I love the community feeling of our cleaning our tables for the next person to sit thereThe food is as advertised, I buy my coffee beans there and enjoy the London Fog with oat milk. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable, as a finish to a good meal there is recycling

Great food and great service. Always a pleasant temperature, and nice place to do school work, or business work. I recommend their Green Tea Chiller on a hot day!

I’ve always come here for my macaron fixes (if you’ve ever had one, you understand my addiction), but I’ve never ventured their cookie bars. Needing a tray or two for an event, I gave them a try. The gentleman I spoke with to place the order was as sweet as those cookie bars! The order was placed two days prior to needing them without issue which for a “last second Lucy” such as myself is so amazing! Pick up was as easy as ordering and today they were raved about as was deserved! Highly recommend!!

Always pleased with what I order here. Lots of great vegetarian and GF options.

Taste Budds is my favorite place to go to catch up with a friend over coffee and a bite to eat. The outdoor seating is especially nice, when the weather allows. They have gluten free options, decadent desserts and plenty of choices. My go-to is the Budds Booster Burrito and tater tots.
