It had been a while since I'd been here but I had some time today. Moving to Poughkeepsie from Berkeley Ca where Peet's coffee is life had made the transition complicated as it's taken a while to become acclimated with the Dunken-esk environment. Today The Poughkeepsie Grind reminded me of what the real bean water is about as the detail from farm to roast to cup is apparent and this old 4 cylinder now feels like a Super Charger once again!

I'm sure your coffee is great and I will try it but how are you AROUND THE CORNER from the TRAIN STATION and open at 7am? are you allergic to swimming in scrooge mcduck sized pools of money?

Amazing😍 I came in for a simple Belgium waffle &ended up adding strawberries which,came out fresh &no compote I loved &it was amazing, the place was super clean. The 2 gentlemen working were super funny I'll be a regular #ChefB😘

Great vibe in this little place. I had a strawberry waffle and my husband had the chicken and waffles, both were delicious. The coffee is amazing too.

Great food and wonderful staff ! They are so people friendly . I love the atmosphere here .

This is my spot. Patrick(owner) is new to the restaurant biz but has put a lot of heart in soul in delivering a great product and having a great vibe. Space is limited but there are seats. Try the chicken and waffles / also I get the bacon/egg/cheese/hashbrown on a crossant! Great coffee now being roasted in-store. Short walk to The Walk Way over Poughkeepsie. Knowable staff that can help you with anything you need.

Let me tell you what you get when you walk in the door at the Poughkeepsie grind! 1st a smile and warm welcome. They treat each customer as important as the next. The workers there are top notch. They are always willing to go above and beyond. Now that brings me to the owners, what can I say? Hmm they're not that awesome....lmao jk The owners are amazing. Down to earth, funny and they work well together. Its a husband and wife team and they smash it. I think it works so well because they truly like, love and respect each other. Want to give young couple an idea on how a mariage should look, let them watch these two work together. And to top it all of shes pregnant. Still smiling, still laughing and still delivering one happy customer after another. Just amazing, thank you guys... Now never leave Poughkeepsie!

Love this place and there waffle menu....ugh, gotta try them all. Only weird thing is that when you call in and order, they kinda sound cranky but I dnt worry. It's a small place and I know they get busy so their attention I guess can be scattered at times

Monte Cristo waffle is Amazing. And for the 1st time I had a decaffeinated Ice coffee and LOVED IT. an amazing little secret of poughkeepsie. Can't wait to have again. In fact might go again this morning!

Cute, small business by the train station. Must stop here if you have time. The dirty chai latte is to die for & the food is always amazing.
