The Poughkeepsie Grind

Nice and cozy place to grab a quick breakfast. The food is good and the staff are really friendly. I had the triple chocolate waffle and home fries.

I only got a red-eye coffee (it did the job), but next time I will definitely be ordering the food because it looked and smelled fantastic! I thought the place was really adorable on the inside. The staff were really sweet too!

For some reason this is a little known hot spot of PK. These waffles are fantastic with more then a few different styles to choose from. Espresso is delectable and it has a nicely homie feel when you walk in the store. Call in to get a togo order or take a seat at one of their few tables and you won't be disappointed. It's always crowded in the morning but worth the small wait as they go through orders very quickly. Just stop in for some waffles already.

Stellar place. The taste, consistency, presentation - all 10's across the board for this place. Excellent coffee that's roasted in-house and tastes better than any name brand. It's rare you find a place that does both excellent coffee and eats - keep the Poughkeepsie Grind at the top of that list!

When you walk in, you'll be greeted with a welcoming decour and friendly staff. There's a simple menu up on the wall because everything they do make looks and tastes absolutely divine.

Everything on the plate was freshly cooked and delicious. The chicken was tender and incredibly crispy, not even slightly oily or greasy at all. The waffle was amazingly light and fluffy on the inside, and just the right amount of crunch on the outside. If you wanna go grab a coffee or a bite to eat, Poughkeepsie Grind is the place to do it.

This place has the best waffles and I have often referred people to the location. My only complaint- when I told the young woman who took my order I asked for scrambled eggs and got over easy, might I have been given the wrong order? Her response- "I wrote scrambled, I don't know". No attempt to resolve the issue. Someone needs to train her!

Great coffee, excellent food, and a wonderful staff. The Poughkeepsie Grind is a highlight of the city. Close enough to walk to from the train station too! Don't miss the waffles! Every month there is a new flavor!

Too long to get the food, which wasn’t very good after the wait. Bacon was chewy, too much ranch dressing, and I had to scrap the paper-thin wrap from my teeth. I feel Pepcid will be in my future this afternoon …..

Great place for either eat in or take out breakfast items I had a wonderful toasted lemon poppy muffin! Lots of choices !
