This Cafe according to locals has seriously declined, but not from lack of trying. They are trying to do every cuisine from everywhere, hence the Jamaican Jerk Tofu I had. Good concept, not great execution. Sorry to say.

The kitchen was obviously new or off their game when we went, the fried plantains were just greasy and not crispy then the steak I ordered was raw inside when I asked for medium rare. Service was as good as always but definitely lackluster food.

I really enjoyed the French dip though well done. The aus jus is house made and tastes authentic. The bread was also great quality and rustic. Fries were really great the first time I ate here soggy and greasy this time. My friend found the vegan gf rice burger to be very plain and underseasoned. I don't think a majority rice burger is a great option to put between bread. I can't recommend either of the vegan options we have tried here. They do have great service though and a nice atmosphere for dining in.

Hey there. Thanks for the reply. We actually got take out to eat in the park down the street. We had just gotten vaccinated and needed to get home (an hour away) to rest. otherwise, we would have asked for something other than the rice "burger". I would just urge you to taste the vegan dishes. Even if you are not vegan or vegetarian, they should be good. You will see that they are not enjoyable.

The food and service here is of great quality. I have had the steak frites and i must say the portion in comparison to the price is worth while. My steak was cooked to temp, but in my opinion, the steak could have been a bit more seasoned. Overall, all was great. Mike was an excellent server who was very kind, and very patient for our large party of 9! If you are looking for a meeting, a quick bite, or light lunch... this is the place to go!

The Autumn Cafe has been a great place for my family to meet for at least eight years. On 3/18/18, we stopped by to have lunch and it wasn't the same. The remodeled look is a nice change and the service is still very good. However, we are not a fan of the Sunday brunch, especially at 2 in the afternoon. The food was not cooked through, the potatoes were cold, the bacon was so salty we couldn't eat it and we were very disappointed in our meal. If we decide to come back, we hope the meal preparation is better.

We got fried plantains, a French dip, and a Cuban. I hated the plantains (too thick and overly sweet for me) but my boyfriend loved them. The Cuban was very good. The French dip was good, but under seasoned. The au jus it came with genuinely had no flavour. The fries were quite dark but not crispy. Next time we'd try their bowls instead of sandwiches.

Today is April 4, 2018 - Yesterday my wife and I and our very good friend went to the newly re-opened and renovated Autumn Cafe. To be honest we delayed our visit by a month or so, to give the new owners time to shake out any kinks that they might have encountered.
If they did encounter any kinks in the beginning, they were certainly not in evidence today. The renovation was beautifully done and true to the spirit of the first twenty-seven years of the Autumn Cafe's operation. Everything is lovely and the only changes (other than bringing it up to current code) have been minimal but lovely.
The menu also remains true to the original spirit of the Autumn Cafe and prices remain very much the same (as does the quality of the food and the service). I believe our waitress's name was Cheri (if not I apologize for the error). In any case, her service was very fine.
The bar carries a large assortment of beers on tap (many fine micro brews). There are also a large selection of bottled beers. Additionally, these days the bar is full service. Whiskey is available, as well as wines and beers.
We could not be happier with what the new owners have accomplished. Hopefully, their long, hard work will be fully rewarded.

The place looks beautiful now that it's remodeled! The food is just as delicious as ever and the signature cocktails are amazing! The service was fast and friendly and despite a packed house, we were very well attended to. The tempeh burger was delicious for vegetarians and meat lovers alike! All of our meals were wonderful. I'd definitely go here again!

We had a great dinner. The patio bartender doubled as our server and worked hard. We waited a little bit for our food but nothing too bad. We loved the outdoor seating.

Inside decor is more old bar with wood takes and large bar. Nice patio with decent views. Service was good.
Menu is odd. A selection of hard core health items, burgers (fish, tofu, meat), lots of sandwiches. They were out of meat burgers when we visited... I found that odd.
We shared a selection of items that included stuffed eggplant, fish cakes, potato soup, fajitas, and vegetables. The food was very bland and below average.
Good for a drink on the patio. Okay if you are in the area and don't care much about food quality of opt for their healthy options. I doubt I'll be back for the food.
