Hope Cafe

We found this place during SU parent's weekend in 2021- we were looking to explore locally beyond the campus area. So glad we did - the food is excellent, coffee and drinks are as well. My daughter who "doesn't even like ham" loves the breakfast sandwiches that are all so well-crafted with care. We love the Rocoto pepper sauce so much, we have our daughter ask for a container every time she comes home. In fact, Hope Cafe has become a favorite among her friends - the word is out on campus!

We ordered soup which was very good and the large serving was adequate. I did not, though, expect to be served in a plastic storage container and eat with a small plastic spoon. The dining ware did not match the ambiance created by the decor.

cannot say enough about this amazing place. The food is delicious and much needed (it makes me miss my old neighborhood in NYC where I had access to a lot of spanish foods) and the workers are incredibly friendly. Consider me a regular from now on.

I gave the beef empanada a second try, as I've tried just about everything by now. Even better than I remember! Thank you 😊

Happy that the whole menu is always available; you can have lunch for breakfast and vice versa.

Friendly people, eclectic atmosphere, outstanding food!

This place gets better with every visit. If you're tired of ordinary and plain food, try some extraordinary fare with flavor here. Dare to be different! The emoliente (tea) is delicious. The Chicharron sandwich is amazing; and if you like spicy, try it with aji limo - it's incredibly flavorful!

The Southwest bowl we got was cold in the middle. Sandwiches were okay but the fillings were thin. Coffee was not good. We left feeling unsatisfied.

Customer service was good, food even better. And to top it all off it got to me quick, and was cheap for how good of a meal it was. I got a breakfast sandwich (Bacon & pepperjack), tots with the house sauce and a carne empeñada. All of them were incredible

Wonderful place for a lunch or healthy drink with a friend. Relaxed vibe, very friendly staff, comfortable seating.

The best breakfast sandwich in Liverpool, maybe even all of Syracuse!! My wife couldn't stop talking about the lavender vanilla honey latte. This could easily become our new Saturday morning routine.

The owners of this place must think I'm crazy because I order the same things every time I come here. The truth is, it's just so darn good! They have a wide variety of breakfast/lunch options to choose from, from breakfast bowls to Empanadas. Their paninis are to die for. They have an evenly balanced espresso in their lattes. It's not too bitter, not too fruity. It has the correct balance of sweet and earthy that I enjoy. Maybe that's just me? I don't know. I don't fully understand what an Esencia is and how it's made, but it is a little more earthy and has a stronger flavor than your traditional espresso. It is very good. Did I mention that their ambiance is phenomenal? And their music is truly international and eclectic? I was surprised that someone likes Ghulam Ali's 'Hungama' outside of the subcontinent, but there you are. A mark of excellent taste. They do an excellent job every time. They even have books on a shelf for the patrons to read! I just wish they had longer hours so that more people could enjoy their excellent service
