The best coffee in Lake Placid by far! This establishment is phenomenal in every way! It’s incredible decor and the MOST friendly and hospitable staff you could ask for is only second to their incredible food and drink! The perfect place to stop for a drink or a bite to eat right across from the oval and then enjoy your time in Lake Placid strolling along Main Street or headed to ski at Whiteface! If I could give it more than five stars I would.

Great lattes and breakfast burritos! ☕️🌯

Great pour over coffee, and outstanding breakfast burritos. And all that at some really decent price points. Will be back!

Top notch staff! The cold brew is so delicious that I don’t even put sweetener in, and did I mention the egg biscuit sandwich!? The most flakey, buttery, delightful crunch when you bite in! This is definitely the best coffee shop in town!

Cute little coffee shop. Great to work in. Only 4 stars because my tea was a little oversteeped, so it wasn’t as good as I would have hoped. Everything else was great.

Cool café in Lake Placid and definitely a popular spot in town. Had an iced americano and oat milk latte, and also tried the paninis which were tasty (especially the turkey one).

It was the best drip coffee I have ever had!! I tried to go back for a second cup after hiking but had closed at 2.

Every respectable town has one - you know a coffee destination - a place where great coffee is admired by the staff members and the customer, where everyone knows where the beans came from, how the coffee was roasted, and most importantly - how to brew it properly and paint their art on top of the crema. Origin is that type of place - a place worth the trip, worth the extra few blocks of walking, worth making it a reason to be in Lake Placid. Nestled across from the Olympic Speed Skating oval, this non-corporate gem is warm and inviting, the staff are always sincerely glad to see you, the in-house made pastries and tasty breakfasts/lunch items are always special. This is a place where the locals go for their morning cup of Joe and a place that once found by visitors becomes the first thing on their list when they return. You won't want to miss this - if you see Jecinda, the owner - make sure you say hi and tell her your story, she is a great listener and her smile is always a perfect way to start the day.

The coffee and atmosphere is great. I also definitely recommend the vegan sausage panini which was delish. I knocked down stairs because it's pretty pricey and I found TWO long blonde hairs in my avocado toast. I'm pretty sure the 12 year old girl who popped out from the back to serve the food was the one making all the sandwiches (and sure thing she had long blonde hair that wasn't slicked back or in a hair net). Would recommend training her on food service hygiene and enforcing hair nets and such. Would not return for food, not sure the conditions in the back... Would return for the coffee though
