This spot is so lovely and the food is nice but the coffee is pretty rough. I love going there, I love the environment and the people are great. Fingers crossed they level up that coffee game! I’ll be a loyal customer when they do!
So good !! Very tasty cookies and cakes, LOX bagel was very good, the toast was delicious - nice and cosy place - it was recommended by friends and we are happy we stopped by ! we recommend this place and will come back !
this place is family owned and very considered. every menu item is delicious. they put so much love into what they do from the pantry items to the fresh produce that Anthony grows. not sure how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars, definitely a favorite in Kingston.
THE BEST!!! Sandwich, Salad, coffee, bread and Pastries were unbelievable! What a beautiful space and good was on spot. Lots of people there and wait not long at all. Great area also to just get it to go and have a picnic right down the street. Love and can’t wait to go back.
there's not enough good things to say about rosie general. we went this weekend for the first time- foolishly only got one apple butter cookie to split about an hour before they closed for the day. when we tried it we were so upset we didn't get more- we didn't want to have to wait until the next day! very literally the best baked goods i've ever had. the next day we had a little more time and went for breakfast- the tomato bagel was unbelievable and my boyfriend got the BEC which he said was also excellent (with super thick cut bacon!). the coffee and chai lattes are great, the owners are amazing, everyone that works there is really sweet. the almond semolina, apple butter, and malted coffee cookies are all really really unbelievable. they also have an amazing selection of preserved treats like martini olives, bbq sauce, pickled scapes, etc. i wish we lived in kingston so we didn't have to only visit on the occasional weekend. wouldn't change a single thing about rosie general. just wish it was closer to home in brooklyn!
Make sure next time your in Rondout, you do not miss this gem. This General Store is just what the strip needed. Its like a slice of N.Y.C., in the heart of the area. All items ordered at the counter are fresh and from local farmers. You can watch as they prepare your dish. Price is on target. Ample seating, both table and counter. The decor has a comfortable flair to it. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. To top it off, they have a interesting grocery section....too much to list however for the likes if everyone. Unique items. Have I said enough??? See for yourself. I wouldn't guide you in the wrong direction. Enjoy!

The salami sandwich was out of this world with a fresh semolina roll. Delicious! Great latte too. Thanks!

Lovely spot for coffee, snacks, or lunch. (The egg salad sandwich is to die for… as is the pastrami!)
