Big selection of freshly prepared, unique, top quality food. A tad pricey. You order and then pick-up your food at the counter, which can get a bit busy. They used to offer self-serve ice water, which I prefer over high calorie/caffeinated drinks (and I thought it was NY state law for restaurants to ptovide) but now you have to purchase water...humph. Adorable old time ice cream fountain atmosphere still makes this a great destination for lunch.

A great place to take your family for ice cream! The old fashioned atmosphere is a nice touch and serves for nice family memories! I go here when I visit the Corning Museum of Glass for a midday refresher! I highly recommend their milkshakes that are extra creamy and full of flavor!

The only downside is that they close pretty early sometimes. I suggest checking out their store hours for up to date information as I know business can have variable hours.

They have the best food I have tasted in a long time. It’s so nice to go somewhere and eat healthy or hearty…or both! I was blown away, you can tell the food is made with love and that makes a huge difference in taste!

The sandwiches were absolutely delicious and the staff was friendly. The menu had a lot of nice options, however I wish the restaurant was open longer. The food had really nice presentation so I would recommend.

Overpriced, and deceiving. Not what I had hoped for. Window signage says homemade soup, but I'd say it was more just heated inside. I had the Stracciarelli Soup, a bowl. Thin noodles in a chicken broth (Liptons?) with a touch of scrambled egg mixed in, and parmesan sprinkled on top. Not at all worth the$7.95 price tag. Was also just a touch warmer than room temp. Woman described it like egg-drop soup with noodles. Not even close! The panini's were huge. Cut into 3 large, equal-size pieces (the photo is the center piece that I could not finish). But, they were just ok. Had the young lady said how large they were (or had I read reviews beforehand), my wife and I would have shared one.

I would skip the Old World Cafe.

My husband and I love going to this place to eat--it is so nostalgic. The service is friendly; the food is delicious. I even love how they have ice cream all year long!!!

Perfect place to enjoy a sandwich and some ice cream. I love visiting local cafes when out and about. This cute cafe is centralized in the town of Corning. Its adorable outside look does not disappoint when entering leads to oldtime charm.
Entering leads to a oldtime soda fountain counter that serves ice cream and off to the left another counter for meals.
Just love that oldtime feel.
Nice selection of sandwiches, grilled sandwiches, soup of the day, and salads.
No fountain drinks only bottles from the fridge.
Great ice cream selections. Had the mint cookie sundae and it did not disappoint.

The servant named Richard gave us very good service and was very kind. 10/10 worker-to-customer service

Great place for snacks, ice cream & hearty bites in the heart of downtown Corning! Cozy atmosphere with plenty of seating plus lots of outdoor seating options nearby. We grabbed soups to go and stocked up on snacks including the cheddar cheese spread for our road trip.

Stopped here to grab lunch. Selection was pretty impressive and the prices were not to bad. Cozy little place near the center of town. Stop by for quick bite.
