We chose breakfast here because it opened early on Sunday(7AM) to fit our schedule. Very enjoyable and friendly...many locals seemed to know each other. Breakfast was very tasty and fairly priced.

So many wasted meals elsewhere. Save yourself a bad meal and go to Doubleday Cafe. The house roasted Turkey blt is the best meal I ate all week. Ate it twice it was so good. Food isn't cheap in this area so why waste it on an average meal? Treat yourself to Doubleday! Plus, the owner is a stud. As I waited for my takeout just before closing, we chatted. I'll support him any day of the week.

Friendly service and really delicious food! We were expecting run-of-the-mill bar food, but their dinners were surprisingly good - we had the tortellini, salmon, and chicken parm. Do note that the place was pretty packed on a Friday night (tables pretty close together, if social distancing is a concern for you), but it was also the only place that was able to seat us right away!

We had an incredible experience. We live about 40 minutes and was entirely worth the drive. Jerry was our server; she was very helpful, involved, and attentive. She suggested a few drinks she makes well and we tried almost all of them. The food, drinks and server were even better than we were expecting. We 100% recommend

This is probably a very nice place. Beer was great. Service was awesome . The meal I selected was so disappointing. Chicken BLT. Suppose to be a sandwich. Could not be treated as a sandwich. A piece of huge glob of lettuce, chicken was so tough I could barely cut it with a knife. Bacon was undercooked and tough. Coleslaw was kind of good. Sorry but this item needs a lot of help. I'll go back again and try something else because everything else about the place had promise.

Induction Ceremony was over and just walking around Cooperstown looking for dinner as it started to rain just a little. We walked in expecting to turn right around, since there was 8 of us, but NO! They had one table left in the corner for 8. As we and the wait staff looked out the window, it was now pouring. We took our seats and had the sweetest waitress that had been there throughout the breakfast, lunch and now dinner shifts! She was great and very helpful (even though she must have been tired.) She brought us our cocktails and took our orders for dinner. Then served us with a very little wait. Everything was served as ordered and very tasty! She left us saying see you all tomorrow for breakfast! We had such good food and a nice time there we just might see her in the morning!

We happened on this establishment after a day of touring the town. Our waitress was great. She happily answered our questions about the menu and possible substitutions. She brought napkins and drink refills without us having to ask for them. We both ordered the maple bourbon glazed salmon and it was perfectly seasoned and prepared. Exceptional experience all around!

I highly recommend the Doubleday Cafe if you visit Cooperstown. It's on the street with the baseball museum.
The staff work hard to accommodate all your needs. Our hostess was Julia and had us seated quickly on an evening that was crazy busy. We had a guacamole with fresh tortilla chips as an appetizer and cheeseburgers for an entree. Both were excellent.
