Joust Café

Joust is a cozy, quirky and vibrant cafe serving really yummy vegan and vegetarian fare. So grateful to have them in Catskill! Their front couches are the perfect place to people watch folks on main street or cozy up for some laptop work or reading. I esp love their breakfast of champions shake after yoga on sundays!

The portions were very small but pricey. Service was lacking, especially after leaving a 25% tip. Be aware that it is completely self-serve. Food was just ok. The avocado toast looked nice but was impossible to eat without first completely disassembling it. The egg with tortilla was tasty but miniscule. The latte and cappuccino were standard.

Everything is vegan, was the best place I ever eat and what can I say about the juices? one better than the other. I love the puffs too, they reminded me Brazil 💜

Friendly staff, live music, great decaf espresso and avocado toast. The vibe here is incredible :)

Everything I have tried is delicious and a couple of sips give me more energy than 2 cups of coffee! The folks who run it (and their adorable daughter) are incredibly sweet. Highly recommended.

Of all the lovely places to dine in this sweet town of Rhinebeck, this was our favorite. The food is of the highest quality, freshest ingredient, subtle tastes and made with love. There are benches in the back, where you can eat in peace and delight. We’ll miss this when we’re gone but wanted to pass along the secret to others.
