Solid coffee shop but it’s a bit overpriced for what it is IMO — for whatever reason, the Ace Hotel Stumptown location is way better. Maybe the baristas here aren’t trained as well?? If you’re just getting a coffee drink there are better options nearby. If you want a savory treat, however, they carry tasty breakfast tacos. They’re also overpriced but as a homesick Texan who really misses being able to grab a taco from any coffee shop, I’ll forgive them.

Love the coffee. The front half of the shop is a beautiful space. The back is a little bit stuffy. Service isn't bad but not their strength.

Great coffee shop housed in a beautiful old Brooklyn building. As soon as you enter you feel the charm of this place and the staff make it even more especial with their hospitality and great service. Stumptown roasts some really good coffee and they make delicious lattes and espresso drinks, combine that with some tasty pastries. Ambience is nice and quiet that allows working on laptops or reading but it's also cozy enough to share some good conversation with friends.

Started out as my coffee spot whenever I visited Borough Hall, lately I've found myself walking here from Prospect Heights, Park Slope, Gowans...
Not only that, but I regularly take home a bottle of the cold brew concentrate. Yep, great coffee!

My favorite coffee shop in the area. Love their hot americano.

This place is absolutely stunning. Stumptown is always a reliable cup of coffee or latte, but often their locations are either cramped or lack functionality. Not here -- it's a big space with WiFi AND outlets. I got a decent bit of work done here and felt super relaxed. Occasionally it gets pretty loud, as it's definitely a common place for both casual and work meetings alike.

Worth checking out if you're ever in the neighborhood -- it's even worth going to the neighborhood to check out.

Lovely space. Very good coffee. Food is expensive and not that interesting for what you get.

Very good espresso based coffee let down by a horrible interaction with a staff member. The prices are high and the wifi is slow... they were my only complaints until I got up to leave. I returned my cup to a staff member and didn't get any sort of acknowledgement from her. "That's fine" I thought as I have spent plenty of time in NY and am aware of the many different types you get at places like this. However I had to go back and ask(politely) for a glass for the water station as they were all piled up in the dirty bucket. The look of absolute disgust and contempt I got from this staff member as I interrupted them from sorting through the record collection was like nothing I have ever seen before. I was glared at for a while before she went and grabbed a handful of plastic cups and handed one to me with absolutely no acknowledgement of my presence or legitimacy of the request.

The exchange left a terrible taste in my mouth and feeling quite unwelcome. It may just be the most distasteful experience I've had with someone in this industry. I often stay locally in the area for work... there are plenty of great cafes about, I'll be giving this one a wide berth for quite a while.

Nice espresso drinks, one of the top places.

Don't like: paying $6 for a latte and tipping $2 and then get a drink without a latte art, which shows that the batista doesn't really care.

Sparkling water on tap added one star! Love the decor more than the coffee itself.
