On Saturday, October 10th, we had early dinner at Golden Pear Cafe, Vegetarian Chilli and it was vegan delicious, however since we're eating near closing time, they locked door while we were eating and we didn't want to trash beautiful Bridgehampton because of wind, and two of us had to knock on door to throw garbage. After seprate from my friend, since my HJ bus was close, I had to put my garbage on bags that by employee's entrance.
That's why I'm giving 3 stars because closing doors while eating is bad idea!!

I love their coffee and their baked goods. The service however was horrible. Got my order wrong, was rude, not friendly or welcoming and all and makes the experience really bad :/

The food is always solid and the wait usually isn’t long. However, the prices border on the absurd for some things (like $18 for…oatmeal. Just oatmeal with some fruit on top. $18?!).

The Golden Pear deserve much better rating than 18. The food is always very fresh, tasty and very consistent. There's a reason you see the same people here every morning and afternoon for 15+ years.

Your standard coffee shop in the Hamptons. Nothing stands out but nothing really fails either. It's middle of the road fare and coffee delivered in a cute eclectic little spot on main street. They get tons of tourists and an influx come summer but this place is best enjoyed with a huge cup of coffee in the fall and spring before the visitors descend.

Love the sandwiches & panini here. Hot options available, too. Everything is delicious.

It’s very pricey, fine it’s in the Hamptons.
It’s way too crowded in the summer. Fine it’s in the Hamptons.
It’s no vegan! Unacceptable!
Wake up it’s time!!!!!!

Awesome service. Awesome food, and awesome staff. However, they need more room at the register, as it gets a little cramped when there's people waiting in line.

The food was very good. They have amble casual seating. And there prices don't let you forget that you just bought food on Bridgehampton.

The owner, Keith Davis, is quite the entrepreneur who offers unique baked goods and prepared foods of the highest quality. He has even written a book detailing his approach to food. Multiple locations in the Hamptons with my favorite being Bridgehampton for its spaciousness. Golden Pear is a Hamptons institution and is very crowded in season -prepare to be elbowed as you get your coffee. Bridgehampton is the most atmospheric of all and Golden Pear is pure magic in the autumn. Keith's story is one of calculated risk and rewards for taking that risk and investing in the community you live and worship in. GP exists in Southampton, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor. I believe there is a branch in Stony Brook village. All are excellent for breakfast and lunch. Pricing on well appointed breakfasts and lunches not for the faint of heart. However, you will get the quality you pay for. So what are you waiting for? Eat already!
