I have never had this bad of an experience before. We got here around 1:25, we waited 15 minutes to order, while the man working was chatting with a young lady while making her coffee (didn’t bother to acknowledge us at all) Her card only had 3 CENTS on it, he let her leave without paying the remainder of her over $7 balance. We finally got to order at 1:40, we ordered 2 Very Berry smoothies. People came in after us and received their coffees rather quickly. (Yes, I understand smoothies are a little more time consuming than coffee to make.) We had to get up to remind the guy working cause he was too focused on everyone else’s orders, we finally received our smoothies at 1:55. Took a drink WORST SMOOTHIE I have ever had, It’s literally just milk and berries. I will not return here nor recommend it to anyone.

Wow. Came in mid-morning on Thursday and placed our order. We told the counter person that we’ll sit outside. Others who came after me were served their food. After nearly one hour I went in to check and was told that my order was lost.
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. After spending over $30, the service was below par.
Never going back!

Stopped at this place once while visiting Santa Fe. I only really like blended coffee, so I was happy to see that they had that available. I was pretty tired, so I asked the guy working if I were to get the largest size, how many shots of coffee (either espresso or whatever some places use in their blended drinks) would be in it. He said one! Only one!! I asked if he could add a shot to it, and he was like, well, I *could*... I'd have to change the recipe. I asked him to please do so. I really wanted more like 3 shots, but I didn't dare ask. Came out good.
TL;DR: Coffee was pretty good. Service wasn't bad, just special..

I've been here twice in the last two months (been to Santa Fe that many times). I returned for the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. I don't love the place but I love that dish. It doesn't have the coffee house vibe, maybe because it's in a strip mall surrounded by brick and mortar. This visit, the barista was very slow making two orders and wouldn't even acknowledge the person waiting at the register. Next time I'm in Santa Fe, I will come back just for the breakfast item.

What I really appreciate about this place is that They have been continuing to show up and feed our community even though they are faced with so many challenges. The staff wear masks all day and show up with a friendly disposition despite the fact that they probably cannot breath very well. They make changes for vegans and they have great chai. Zeinab has been doing a great job and any one who is working As hard as she and her staff are (while others are living off of the generosity’s of unemployment) - deserves ONLY positive recognition. Thank you 🙏

A very nice place. The food is very good and it is a great place to study. Sometimes, with one person in the kitchen, food takes longer than expected and I wish they would have better hours of operation, they close too early. One day they closed an hour earlier because there were not clients and I had to leave...

Great menu and coffee, well-run family operation. This has long been my favorite coffeeshop in town.

The food was pretty flavorless I had the breakfast bowl and breakfast tacos with green and red chili and I had alot better to be honest

Tribes has a great advantage. It's a coffee shop and diner. Nothing like it around for miles. You can't get a variety of dishes at the nearby Starbucks. And sometimes you don't want the full service with server like at Plaza Cafe -- because you have a movie to attend. (I'm surprised no similar business has sprung up to compete). Unfortunatley, the food is just ok. It's diner food not culinary masterpieces. But the prices sure remind you of other high end places--- $10 for a burrito! Other disadvantages...it's more of a retiree hang out than for millennials. The tables havent been modernized for years so one person can take up a table for 4. Get regular coffee, no lattes. Stick with cheap sandwiches for a quick bite before shopping or movie.
