This used to be one of my favorite places to come - I believe it what it stands for. The last three times I’ve been there, I felt so unwelcomed by the front service - like it was a nuisance that I was there, and not once did I receive a smile in either having my order taken or in being served. It feels like staff who really don’t want to be there. Two of those times there was blasting girl pop music at 8:30 in the morning that made me want to take my food and run. I really hope things can improve - I do like the menu, but at this rate it might be a long while before I go back.

The girl at the counter was so sweet! I just had a bad experience with a rude worker at Shake Foundation next door and it set my anxiety off to extreme levels, which can be medically dangerous for me.

I was so relieved to finally come into contact with the first friendly person I’ve met all day. I wish I’d asked her name so that I could mention her, but I was too overwhelmed with everything going on. A big thank you to her for being so kind, helpful, and welcoming! It made my day, and I’ll definitely be coming back to Modern General again. 💕

This place is actually mind blowing! Amazing vibe DELICIOUS food and cool store. I'd eat here everyday. They also include tip in their prices which is a cool change of pace although I didn't have the opportunity to rip massively. They deserve it. The savory cakes are amazing and the deserts are great.
