Cafe Catron

Not much curb appeal, but beautiful inside and great food. The Salmon Benedict breakfast tasted the closest thing to bacon or ham that I've had since becoming pescatarian - it was awesome! My wife ordered Black Stone Benedict, which she reported as just ok. The service was warm and friendly. In all, a great experience!

Significantly better than its south-side branch. Some delicious and nostalgic New York deli dishes (pastrami on rye, matzoh ball soup) done well along with some New Mexico specialties and accents. The bagels are disappointing as they do not taste as if they were properly boiled. Still, the closest thing to NYC in Santa Fe. A good Reuben sandwich goes a long way so I'll be back.

Based on 1 visit. Bagel sandwich is just egg on a dry bagel - anything more is extra. Bagels were okay but with a faint off taste (probably just the water). Coffee was lukewarm. Staff wasn't rude but also wasn't friendly. Pretty much a 2 star experience all around. Having said that, there were a lot of people in there for a Monday at 8:30a.

Wanted to let everyone know New York on Catron is not owned by the same group as New York Deli Southside on Cerrillos. Two and a half years ago the owners of Southside sold the Catron business. We’ve been working to eliminate any confusion by updating name and logo but maintaining many of the great menu items our customers have come to enjoy and expect as well as introducing new favorites. Look forward to welcoming loyal and new customers alike!

I have always felt they were good and solid but had a terrible experience today. They didn't put most of my food in my bag. I was on a short lunch break and had to go back to the business where the owner had to leave so I am by myself and unable to leave again for the rest of the day. I asked them to deliver to me so I have something to eat as it was their error and I am not far but they kept laughing at my situation as they explained to other associates there and said nope, no exceptions.

Friendly staff and quick service. I had the crunchy French toast which was on the special and my husband had the eggs benedict, both tasty. Will return.

When Jeffrey owned the New York Deli, it was a very pleasant place with a good menu which was delivered reliably and consistently. Since it was sold to the new owner, the quality of the food has plummeted. Although I have been disappointed before by this place since it was sold, the other day I ordered a salad to go with chicken. The chicken was inedible, chewy and disgustingly raw. Today I ordered a Woodstock sandwich to go. It did not have all of the ingredients listed in the menu. This restaurant does not deserve to be called a restaurant. I don't know what it is. I would not be surprised, given the sloppiness of their deliverable, that food poisoning comes next. Don't go.

If you haven't herd of this hidden gem of a restaurant, you're missing out! The best breakfast food around SantaFe! Seriously, we've eaten here several times and anything we order is top notch!! They used to have a eggs benny Sampler plate, but it seems that has gone off the menu, so? You'll just have to make a decision as to which version you're craving!

My family loves coming here, the patio is nice when they have the water fountain running. Kids breakfast comes with a pancake, eggs and bacon or sausage, perfect for my 2 year old. I usually always get the Nova Salmon Bagel Deluxe...it's my absolute favorite. The Santa Fe Hash Browns are killer as well!
