We had a wonderful two-nights at the El Fidel. All of the property staff that we met were beyond helpful which set the mood for a warm and welcoming stay. The lobby of the property is gorgeous and complete with comfy furniture - an excellent place to sip a drink or read. Oishi, the hotel’s onsite restaurant, was excellent, the yakisoba deserves a special callout. The complimentary coffee available to guests at the lobby’s coffee bar was also an especially nice touch. The coffee shop also offered a variety of pastries and cookies available for purchase and everything that we tried – from the scones to the oversized cookies – was simply delicious. The weather was pleasant during our stay which afforded us the chance to sit outside in the hotel’s courtyard both in the evenings and the mornings – it’s a great space. Our room was very quiet and comfortable, the décor and fixtures playful yet reflective of the property’s history. Everything in town that we wanted to see was a reasonable walk from the property!

Took my husband to the ER in Las Vegas where what we thought was a minor health matter, required lots of tests and treatment. With a dog in the car and no vacancies in town, Michelle was an angel! So helpful and sensitive to my situation. With so much uncertainty, she held a room for me. Arriving after midnight, her staff made sure I got in safe and secure. Very clean and comfortable. This quaint, personal hotel with such charm is a hidden gem in Las Vegas. Appreciated the much needed Bible in the room, too.

A one of a kind, beautiful hotel with amazing owners.
My family and I were traveling through New Mexico on Thanksgiving day when our car broke down. We got towed at night to Las Vegas and had to find accommodation that same night.
From there on, Michelle and Chico, the owners of the hotel, took it upon themselves to help us find an open car repair shop for our car, and a way back to Denver where my wife was starting a new job a few days later. Michelle even gave us a ride to a town 100 miles away so we could catch a bus to Denver.
During our improvised two nights stay, we were amazed by the character and charm of the hotel. I am from France, and everything took me back to the unique style of Europe, from the indoor tiles to the decorated facade of the outdoor patio. The room was clean, quiet and decorated with style.
We will definitely come back and stay there again!

Very old (historic) hotel. A bit run run down but nostalgic. Trapped in time. 😄

My favorite coffee shop is in the lobby. Wonderful historic building that retains a taste of the past with modern conveniences.

This was honestly the best hotel experience I have ever had. The owner was an amazing host! I highly recommend. Its also a beautiful hotel in a great spot of town.

A Las Vegas couple (Chico & Michelle) have recently purchased the grand old El Fidel hotel and are transforming it into a modern miracle. Dinner features sushi & japanese dishes like chicken teriyaki, while by day they have a coffee bar with lattes and mochas, as well as a lunch menu. Haven't seen the rooms yet but I hear they've been redone. Quite a place.

I didn’t have the great experience that others have experienced here. However mine is pretty recent. My room was pretty poorly equipped. There was no television or refrigerator when I got there and I had to ask for it. Bathtub was full of dog hair which may account for the clogged drain . I cleaned up the bathroom that first night and they did manage to get the drain open after a few days. Internet access was very poor. When I had to walk downstairs to the desk to report the problem I got ‘ well it’s fine down here ‘ . I guess they thought that was pretty funny. I barely could make calls from my personal phone. They didn’t have a phone in the room. I was to stay there 13 weeks for a healthcare assignment but internet services were so slow there, it was hard to conduct any business there. My room was so far in the back I felt like I had to hike to get back and forth. No elevators in service. Not even a water fountain in sight. Customers are to park in the dark dirt alley way in the back. I paid for a month but left after about 10 days and didn’t get a penny refunded. I wouldn’t recommend this place, but it depends on what you’re expecting I guess. At their defense I did not see that it was a 2 star.

Seems after extended stay. That Michele, the co-owner is misleading and vague in her communication. She feels exploitive and condescending.
I wish the best going forward to Chico and Michele in their lofty endeavors...🤭
