I first came here during a weekday afternoon. The vibe was really relaxed and calm and I loved it. I got a pumpkin coffee and a pumpkin muffin. The muffin was warm and the coffee latte was excellent. Then I came again on a weekend morning and didn’t have quite the same amazing experience. Granted, they were extremely busy. This time I got a mocha latte and a cinnamon roll. The mocha latte just didn’t do it for me. And I thought the cinnamon roll would’ve been served warm, since my pumpkin muffin was the last time I was there, but it was cold and very hard. I tried to eat it but figured I would enjoy it much better if it was warmed up. So I asked the barista behind the counter to warm it up and it didn’t quite do the trick- I think she warmed it up for a minute, then by the time I got it back it was already cold again. Overall this is a cute coffee shop and has a really good vibe to it. The staff was very friendly both times. I may give it a try again, but most likely won’t be going on a weekend morning when it’s busy.

Great place to ride into by way of bicycle from el paso. Great service, great food served Hot! Quiet, quaint and a clean bathroom!

I was working on a set that required me to get a huge order for a lot of people. When I went inside, it was still a little busy so I was worried that it was going to be a while before they would be able to even get to me, let alone take my order.

But much to my surprise, they were able to get to me almost instantly. And they were so helpful with my order, and amazingly fast in getting it out to me. I had about 3 drink carriers to take to my car but they were kind enough to help me carry them over!

The entire staff was so amazing and helpful and very inviting. Not just to myself, but to all the other customers that was in the shop with me as well.

Love this quaint little place: atmosphere is homey and relaxing; food and drinks are fresh and different; and service is friendly.

Still good coffee, but they're only serving muffins, toast, scones...was looking forward to an egg, cheese, green Chile quesadilla...

A very unfortunate experience at a place we used to like.

We were out walking this morning and decided to stop by the Bean for breakfast. We are supportive of the mask mandate but did not have masks with us. The restaurant does NOT have masks to accommodate customers who forgot to bring one. This is very bad business in a world where we need to work together and where businesses need to help their customers. Then I ordered a "dry cappuccino." I got a cup filled to the brim with hot milk (i.e., a latte) and a spoonful of foam. Apparently, the barista had no training and the customer service was terrible. There are other good places to get coffee in Old Mesilla, and The Bean has clearly not maintained its efforts toward customer service or a good product.

Service, food, and atmosphere were excellent! I had the Super Bowl which was delicious and a cappuccino with a vanilla hazelnut flavor added and I loved it. They have their own coffee roaster machine and the place has a lot of charm, good choices for indoor and outdoor seating. Jared my waiter was attentive and nice, as was Mickey. Will definitely be back again.

Worst meal I've ever had. Stuffed avocado, dry chicken salad side salad with slimy lettuce. A friend hab the breakfast sandwich, burnt scrambled eggs so few sprouts you could count them will not return!!!!!

We checked Google for directions. The Cafe was open for another hour and a half. We drove 5 miles thru heavy traffic. Parking was tight and haphazard. Inside, posted blackboard menu did not match internet menu, no salads etc..
When I went to order, we were told kitchen closes at 3pm. Did we want a pastry? No thanks. I purchased a $3.16 cup of coffee, not fresh, sitting in warmer pot. Again we were asked about pastry. We left.
Social distancing impossible with table placement.

Very nice people, very friendly. The food was excellent, and was made as you ordered it. The Chai tea was a bit bland, but that would be my only complaint! All in all a great place to go if you are in the area. Also, if you stay at Hacienda RV, they have 10% off coupons!
