Nice spot hidden on the corner of W. Conway and Harrelson by the railroad tracks off S. Main, Las Cruces. This place was recommended to me by the owner of Quality Tinting. It was a great choice. The service was great. I ordered an Ethiopian blend coffee and a Guava pastry. The coffee was good but the pastry was amazing. It's a good size venue where you can watch the coffee beans being processed and bakery goods being made. I highly recommend this place. The coffee took a few minutes to get done because they grind the beans when you order. Then they percolate the coffee. Yummy.

Super legit operation here. Great coffee, chill vibe, records for sale (good ones). Soundtrack is not heinous modern pop played at an ungodly volume, rather well-curated classic indie gems. Large main bar with metal stools or deep plush couches. I could do without the fluorescent lighting, but that’s really my only complaint.

Very hipster and modern aesthetic. The coffee is fantastic and it's so cool being in the building and watching them roast the coffee us pretty neat! It can be really loud (music and the roasters) but usually pretty slow so it's a great place to study.

Staff: Friendly and skilled baristas.

Atmosphere: industrial and functional as a roaster, but cozy and inviting all bundled up together.

Coffee: We had a Drip Coffee, Cortado, Cappuccino, & Cold Brew - All were superb!

Pasties: Tasty!

Oh! They also gave a records available to play / for sale. - Super cool record finds and well priced!

Thanks Picacho Coffee Roasters!

Insanely good espresso. The owner just came up and chatted us up while he was roasting beans in the back - doesn't get more authentic than that. He told us about the history of the roasting company and cafe and how he blends the right beans for the perfect coffee. Wonderful experience and wonderful space.

If you're looking for third wave coffee, this is the place. They source great beans and are amazing roasters. They have a crazy varietals and a selection that you wouldn't expect to find tucked away in sleepy Las Cruces. They do pour-over on site. If you're a fan of great coffee, it's a must visit.

Hidden gem. More than a coffee spot for studying (although good for that too), they roast their own beans and will take the time to make you a pour over. Chad and his staff are amazing!

Edit: We returned to the cafe and they offered us to try their americano and latte again made by another barista. They tasted great!

Original review: We love their coffee beans. However, I think they need to invest more on improving skills of the baristas. I am very disappointed in the latte and americano we ordered.
The americano was too light.
We noticed no crema on the espresso. The latte was honestly the worst I've ever had. It was lukewarm with zero froth and like the americano it was very light and bland.
I will continue to buy their beans but don't plan on getting coffee made by their baristas in the future.

I was driving down the highway and needed a cup of coffee. Magically I came across Picacho. Not only did I discover a wonderful Cafe, but they are amazing bakers too. Their seeded Sourdough bread is a work of art. Absolutely go out of your way to find this cafe.
