I mean every word in this review. The BEST Chana Masala and Daal Makani I've ever had (this coming from someone who has enjoyed world class cuisine in NYC). Rich, incredible flavors. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. This place is a gem.

Happy to support a local business as our experience with Taaj Palace was exceptional! The owners have taken every step to ensure cleanliness to include hand sanitizers on the tables. We went when they offered a buffet...yes a buffet! There was quite a variety of dishes and all the food was piping hot, fresh and delicious! The staff and owner were friendly and very welcoming. We will definitely be back!!

The food is always delicious. My wife has coeliac disease and they have a great selection without flour. The staff is always attentive, kind, and incredibly pleasant. They are easily my favorite Indian restaurant in Albuquerque.

I do not post reviews, however this is warranted. I've had Indian cusine all over the world, England, Germany, Spain, and this by far was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. Save your hard earned $$$$ folks! This was my first and last time ordering from here. The Chicken Tika Malasa sauce was thin (consistency of water) and not full of the Indian flavors I have come to know. It tasted more like tomato sauce with some chicken chunks in it. You can purchase sauce at Walmart with more flavor and better consistency! Guess I'll continue looking. On a side note, I normally order from TASTE OF INDIA on Juan Tabo, very good! But seems they have staff problems which is unfortunate. TAJJ PALACE, go have Tika Malasa at TASTE OF INDIA, you can learn a thing or two! Very disappointing for a $50.00 meal! Wish I could take my $5 tip back. My advice, focus on quality vs. quanity!

If you want great service and good food this is the place you should be. My biggest dining complaint these days is lack of attention and customer service. You WILL NOT find this here!

Everyone was very attentive and concerned about our happiness. More than once someone came by to check on us or refill drinks just moments after someone else had done the same thing. I was very impressed with the quality of the customer service and the quality of the food. Everything was delicious, fresh and plentiful!

We didn't try the buffet as it was late, but it did seem they had quite the selection and that they were keeping the food fresh. Watching them tear down the setup showed us they care about quality and cleanliness, which is always a good thing!

I can't suggest this place enough. Give it a try. You will be happy you did. We will definitely be returning!

The food is sooo flavorful without being too spicy. There is a hint of spices, and I have a tender tongue but it was not overwhelming where I could not eat it. The buffet is wonderful, small, but just the right selections. I would suggest this restaurant for beginners and seasoned tastbuds. The service is amazing. There is even an option to buy clothing and spices. The place is usually packed but worth the wait. They do deliver through Grub hub and Uber Eats.

This review is for the buffet: I honestly would like to give this establishment 0 stars. My wife and I were drawn to this restaurant based on their great reviews which , spoiler alert, sounds made up. The food on the buffet was bland, no spice or seasoning. Although i do admit the pakoras were good. The curries like saag paneer, dal, goat curry did smell good but when you taste it, it's a huge morsel of nothing. Everything tastes the same. The gulab jamun were rock hard in the center and the masala chai was just regular chai with heapfuls of cardamom powder.
TL;DR: it was inedible.
When i brought this to the management's attention, the manager shrugged and responded "That's alright, it's a buffet after all"
I will never come back here nor will i recommend anyone to eat. No wonder we couldn't find any desi's at this restaurant.

We discovered an excellent lunch buffet today, selected from a random list of Indian restaurants in the city. The Taaj Palace has been in business for 15 years, but this was our 1st visit as we live 2 hours north, and our favorite Indian restaurant in downtown Santa Fe has closed.
The ambience is pleasant, with 3 separate dining areas. We chose a booth near the buffet tables, with a view of Indian videos on a tv located over a corner fountain. Everything we tried (and we tried everything) was spiced just right, from the vegetable soup to goat vindaloo, with several interesting and flavorful vegetable choices. At last, raita prepared as I like it! Salad and fresh fruit were available along with 4 desserts (gulab jamun, rice pudding, mango pudding, and a sweet grated carrot) Service was welcoming and attentive. We will definitely return when we come to Albuquerque again.
