My wife and I love Indian food and we love this place. We get the delicious, ample buffet whenever we get the chance. All the food is excellent and tasty. Prices are very reasonable.

We had the lunch buffet. The food was halal. There were a lot of items. I liked the navratri korma, batura, Chana dal and gajar halwa. Rest of the door I had weren’t that good. The mutton had some smell. Among chicken items tandoori Chicken was better. I also had the chai, which was the worst Chai I have ever had in any Indian restaurant and that’s a rare occasion.

This is a very underrated restaurant in town. The goat curry here at the lunch buffet is phenomenal. The best I have yet had in the US. I am from northern India and I can approve the authenticity in the flavors. Will definitely come to this place anytime I visit Albuquerque.

Very clean and friendly. Go early, tho. That's when the buffet is best.

Me, my wife and kids have been coming to this restaurant for years. The quality in food and service has gone down dramatically over the last few years. I remember showing up to a clean restaurant with fancy waiters with bow tie. The food quality has gone down dramatically. It feels like they switched to cheaper ingredients. The bathrooms are filthy. Booths, floors, doors, buffet trays are all dirty. My son saw a large cockroach inside the restaurant as we were eating! I am not trying to bash this restaurant. We hope they take this as constructive criticism. We like supporting local small businesses and hope this place cleans up their act so we can return someday.

I used to order through Uber Eats, but the outcome was much better when I ordered directly from their restaurant website! That way, you can select the heat/spice level. I chose level 9 this time, and it was *thrillingly and wildly hot,* which is exactly what I wanted (having grown up with NM chile). 🌶 I'd been disappointed by another Indian restaurant close to me, on Carlisle, due to bland cream sauces. But Taaj Palace is flavorful, with balanced coriander, ginger, onions, etc. I think a little less oil would be wonderful, but it was still tasty.
Most importantly, I'm thankful they have vegetarian and vegan options, which are clearly marked. I like Saag with garbanzos or potatoes--entrees you can't find everywhere because Saag is generally prepared with paneer.
The atmosphere inside is modest. I suggest ordering to-go. I was warmly greeted as soon as I walked into the restaurant and my to-go dinner came out quickly.

Great place all around. The owners are hands on and make you feel welcome. Also it's super clean that's something I really appreciate.
The most important part...the food! Not only is everything delicious but they have an all day buffet which is amazing because I literally stuff my face everytime I go.
I recommend this place 👍🏻👍🏻

Buffet was very good. Spicy tandoori chicken was excellent. Recommended.

I went here for dinner, and realized that it is buffet only. Or that seemed to be the only option presented. The buffet was pretty good, fresh items like naan kept being brought out and offered directly to our table. The staff was super friendly, and the place was nice. Samosas were bland.
