You can't be preparing an order with gloves on, then answer the phone and enter it into the pc and not change your gloves, especially when other people answer the phone and enter orders with no gloves. That is what just happened . . . It is a cesspool of cross-contamination. Very disappointing because the bagels have been great in the past.

Husband thought philly cheese steak was one of the best he's had. Coffee was great 5 stars! They were super sweet and very kid friendly.

If I could give this place zero stars I would! I went into their store to order a bagel with vegetable cream cheese. Upon my first bite I suddenly heard a loud crack when I bit down. I immediately spit it out and was shocked to find little tiny black rocks in the cream cheese!!! It was literally so loud and hard that I almost thought my tooth broke(tooth is still hurting btw). This is when it gets even worse. I went to complain to the staff and she called a manager right away. This short bald guy came over and I explained to him what happened and even showed him the little tiny black rocks/coal pieces. First he proceeded to ask me if I wanted to have my order remade. Are you serious??? I don't want to eat here again. Then he proceeded to tell me that it was pieces of burnt onion!!! Really??? This is clearly not any type of food and def no burnt onions!! It was shards of rocks!! They couldn't really give me a straight answer as to what it was. I have never in my life had this happen and the response from management was pathetic. Stay AWAY from this place at all costs!!!

We went there for breakfast this morning and ordered 2 cinnamon raisin bagels ..not one hint of cinnamon and scarce raisins ..when I spoke to the manager about it he told me they can't add too much cinnamon because yeast won't rise.. so then how does the other bagel places have plenty of cinnamon.

I have lived in South Jersey for 24 years and used to make a special trip Rio Grande just for their breakfast sandwiches back then. I still make a stop whenever I pass one of their restaurants. Quality has not changed in all these years. Thier prices compare to most of the fast food in the area so I choose their quality and where I can actually watch their cooks crack an egg to make my sandwich. Other fast food I question whether their sandwiches are made with real eggs.

Yep...from Seattle...coffee and treats easy to find there...so this place was just what a couple of travelers needed to get our fix on the "other" coast. Plus saw a cardinal sitting on a headstone in cemetery next door...Yep came for the birds!

I'm not sure what Lynn is talking about but I had the turkey sandwich today and numerous times before and it's always fresh & delicious.

Love the food . Have been going for a long time but today I went in and the man at the register was so overtly rude. Then I asked the price of something and he actually rolled his eyes at me. I will never go back there and told my kids also. There is more than one Avalon Bagel in area.

Bagel are wonderful. Watch when u get unsweetened tea. They dont clean the container regularly bc I has a off white film in my drink that only comes from not cleaning the right.
