NAM-MYO-HO-RENGE-KYO Nam comes from the Sanskrit word namas, which was translated in Chinese and Japanese as meaning “to dedicate one’s life.” “Dedication,”when dedicated to this principle, our lives become based on wisdom that perceives that truth and functions in response to any changing circumstance. Myo can be translated as mystic or wonderful, and ho means law. This law is called mystic because it is difficult to comprehend. What exactly is it that is difficult to comprehend? It is the wonder of ordinary people, beset by delusion and suffering, awakening to the fundamental law in their own lives, bringing forth wisdom and compassion and realizing that they are inherently Buddhas able to solve their own problems and those of others. The Mystic Law transforms the life of anyone—even the unhappiest person, at any time and in any circumstances—into a life of supreme happiness.

Renge, meaning lotus blossom, is a metaphor that offers further insight into the qualities of this Mystic Law. The lotus flower is pure and fragrant, unsullied by the muddy water in which it grows. Similarly, the beauty and dignity of our humanity is brought forth amidst the sufferings of daily reality.

great joe's!
Maine coffee chain located inside a shared building with Subway (one entrance). Sells about what you'd expect, but the menu may overwhelm some. Friendly service. Drive thru was also available.

I'm in love with the hot chai tea with vanilla and cinnamon. It's like Christmas in a cup!

I waited for 35 minutes in line at the drive thru and still hadn’t been served when I, and the cars behind me left, also without having been served either. I couldn’t even get out of line to drive off, since the drive thru lane is so narrow, so all cars in line were all stuck, without ever getting served. At one point, after 25 minutes of waiting, I left my car sitting to go inside to ask the girls working to at least ask the people waiting ahead of me to pull over and wait until their food was ready, so I could at least leave, and get on with my day. Then, 5 minutes later, a young lady who was working came outside and very rudely told me the computer system was down, went back inside, and I continued having to wait another 10 minutes, until the car ahead of me moved out of the way enough, so I that myself and the person behind me could drive off. All in all, I waited for 35 minutes with nothing to show for it. It was strange that there wasn’t a manager working to help move things along either. Maybe someone called out of work, or maybe it’s just not a very well run place, but that’s my second time having to wait that long there so I won’t be going back. There was one sweet young lady working inside who was very nice, but that’s all that can be said about that place.

Love the manager at this one. No matter how many cars are in line, she always pleasant and goes out of her way to make sure you get exactly what you need. Besides that the coffee here is far superior to Dunkin Donuts.

I absolutely love going to that place. Almost every morning they actually have a dog treat for my dog and if not they give him a pop cup.

Went there at about 11 today and the people were very friendly, frojoe was good. So I decided to go back, waited for 15 minutes with one car infront of me (who ordered 2 coffees). I work in fast food as well so I know some of the struggles but by the time the got to us, the person was rude and didnt even say hello. I got my coffee, and took a huge sip of granulated sugar and coffee grounds. Gave it a stir tried it again, my mouth was filled with coffee grounds again. Not impressed.

AVOID this place if it’s busy. The drive thru has taken 40 minutes so far and I am still waiting…quality of coffee doesn’t even matter at this point, the wait alone makes this place one to avoid if possible, you’re better off going to McDonald’s across the street for a coffee.

Update: it’s been an hour and still haven’t even ordered
