I don't understand why served my coffee to go without ask me.... I wanna take it inside.

PortsMouth cafe is a great creation. They are lucky to have something that's so authentic or comes close to authentic Deutsch.
PortsMouth's people are very nice and civilized compared to say (Nashua, Salem, Manchester, etc ). Also, some people from Maine here were super nice.
Luckily, mostly civilized, and decent people come here. Excellent sandwich. Pretty good cafe.
I was driving so couldn't drink any 🍻 😤
Also, they ran out of one of my fav German/Austrian (Bavarian) things:Apfel Strudel 😋

The barista was super friendly and nice! We had their Guatemalan drip coffee and a pastry that i could not spell properly to save my life, but they were both pretty delicious.

Very cute. I went at the end of the day so there wasn't much of variety of pastry. Coffee was good. Some nice traditional German stuff. All around very nice place. Will definitely visit again.

The apfel strudel and cheese danish are truly amazing. Light, flakey pastry, sweet but not too. My only regret is that we can’t stay and have a German iced koffee (too early in the day). A real gem.

The melba pastry we ordered was delicious with outstanding texture. Sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits were surprisingly satisfying. A big surprise for a place we went into as a backup when the breakfast place down the street had a long wait. The only negative for me was the painting in the doorway. I found it so creepy in photos that I initially opted not to go here, and more importantly that aesthetic didn't at all match the happy, wholesome demeanor of the staff who served us. Overall though, so good I'd go out of my way to go here again.

Great food, great prices, great atmosphere, and most importantly, great beverages.

I was eager to try the coffee here because a friend told me they grind their own coffee beans and the shop is owned by someone from Germany. The dark roast coffee was wonderful. The person behind the counter was friendly and they had comfortable seating. There are pictures on the wall of different landscapes from Germany. Even though I didn't have anything to eat, the desserts looked delicious!

The staff was friendly and willing to help. The homemade pastry was not to sweet, fluffy and delicious. The coffee which was carefully and lovingly made was perfect no burnt or bitter taste at all. A perfect little place to stop in after a long day of shopping or to get your day going.
