Great service. Really on point grilled cheese sandwich. Crispy bread, soft cheddar - mmmm. Excellent baked goods. The almond croissant was delicious.

But the drip coffee was very weak and sour. They very generously replaced the drip coffee with a masala chai tea that was far too weak. There was maybe a teaspoon of loose tea in a 16oz cup.

I would give them another shot. Could have been an off day on the drinks.

Fantastic German-inspired coffee shop near the water in Portsmouth with a great cup of coffee. I’ll be honest, I’ve had a head cold for 3 days and my taste buds are currently in hibernation. Despite this, I was awestruck after my first taste of Kaffee Vonsolln’s medium roast. Not in the least bit bitter with a smooth chocolate flavor all for $2.52 for a large coffee. Big deals are going on here in Portsmouth. Just another reason I’m very bullish on American things that are German in name (i.e. myself, Kaffee Vonsolln).

Super cute place! The staff were friendly and helpful. Got a coconut iced coffee and a sausage, egg, & cheese on a jalapeno cheddar bagel. Great breakfast under $10.

I had an excellent latte with extra expresso and breakfast sandwich here. Great find in the area and excellent coffee shop in general. Shout out to the staff for being so welcoming to a visitor to the area

I knew this was going to be a good stop when I arrived and there was a line to the door (wait ended up being only about 10-15 mins anyway). I ordered a simple cold brew and a biscuit with jam and butter and could not have been more thrilled with both. The biscuit was fresh and flaky, the jam was delicious, and the coffee was flavorful. Highly recommend.

One of my go-to place in Portsmouth. Great for all season coffee and dessert cravings. Great selection of coffee and german pastries/desserts.

Now that Cafe Brioche/BNG has been fully replaced by the downtown-destroying Tuscan stuff, Kaffee Vonsolln is the new coffee spot worth frequenting. Other places close too early and/or are overpriced. Between their later hours and good baked goods options, Kaffee Vonsolln should be your first stop for a coffee and pastry in downtown Portsmouth.

Delicious little spot! Veggie breakfast sandwich on a biscuit, blueberry muffin, dirty chai and a warm almond milk for my little man. Perfect date for mama and baby! Chai was delicious! Biscuit melted in my mouth!! Love it!

Always busy and always pleasantly quiet. A good spot to meet for a meeting or for a casual coffee date. The ambiance is “rainy day in Europe” in the best possible way.

Good coffee and pastries but the owner is a handful. As a daily customer its sad to support a business and be treated poorly. I've grown tired of the owner being disrespectful towards me for no reason. I wont ever go back.
