A great local coffee shop that cares. Woman owned by Jo, who lives in town and cares about the community. She has created a wonderful space for gathering, enjoying a coffee or tea with a friend, listening to music, or paying it forward. This is the kind of place that makes Portsmouth a strong community. Oh and the drinks are yummy!! With vegan milk options. And a commitment to sustainability.

stopped with my daughter to have a salad here - advertised as a special on their board. However when we got it it was missing one of the main ingredients (apple, lettuce, feta and walnut salad) which was the apple. Also there was barely any feta on it. When I went to question that the salad had no apples I got a response that they ran out however it had apple vinaigrette dressing on it....really? no apology, no hey can I get you something else...honestly staff really could of cared less. Beside the fact we could sit outside and it was a beautiful day- Not impressed and wouldn't go here again.

Excellent local coffee shop! We were there briefly due to closing, but the young lady was so friendly and personable. The coffee was great too! Highly recommend.

I had a great first experience at Cup of Joe. The staff was very friendly and informative. My breakfast sandwich was out-of-this-world delicious. And my cappuccino was perfect. The atmosphere and decor are welcoming, and it was clear that you can sit and work comfortably, if desired. A great spot to check out in Portsmouth!

They make a killer latte! Their breakfast pastries could be one of the best on the seacoast if they just dialed back on the baking time. Their pastries are s bit charred. If they work on the baking time, their pastries will be hard to compete with.

Left my phone behind for a few minutes.. went right back and the Lazy girl behind the counter immediately argued with me that that they did not have any phone. I told her 3 times my iPad GPS says it's right here!

She was super rude and didn't bother to check or even ask for my contact info. Her attitude was "tough luck, and dismissive/zero concern". I was being very cordial and polite too. Most people would look around or ask a co-worker. She refused to do so.

I asked a 4th time.... another person working there this time. They asked around and were able to locate it for me pretty easily behind their counter.

Would never go back to a place that has such a lazy rude employee like that. Could have been out almost $1200 + all my data and precious memories of loved ones that I explained...just because someone was lazy?

I live in another state on the other side of the country. Glad I stayed persistent and had my iPad with me to use "the find my phone" app. If I had taken her word, I would have been screwed.

Other than that, nothing special about this place. Lazy person.

They use the fancy small ice in their iced drinks... love that. The food here is very good. Fresh and nice presentation too. I’m not giving five-stars because the food takes a while to come out. Good people watching.
