Tamarack Restaurant

I've been coming here since I was a toddler (I'm now over 30). I swear the food somehow gets better each time. The grilled cheese sandwich basket I had was something straight from a dream. Chicken fingers were a little too dry for my liking but still enjoyable.

Quaint with a lot of cute placards to entertain you while waiting for hand made food. There was a wait even after 1p on a weekday. I am no lobster roll connoisseur but this was not my favorite - plenty of meat but ice cold, not a lot of flavor, and the roll was toasted but cold? Maybe warmer with butter? The onion rings were delicious.

Heard a lot of hype about this place but was very disappointed.

First, during these times of covid-19 everyone in service is required to wear a mask, you would think everyone in food service would as otherwise they’re just getting all their germs onto your food as they handle it. Not a single person in this place had a mast on.

Second, ordered $70 of food and as the cook said order up I looked and saw my full order, the person giving food to customers had the cook change my haddock sandwich and gave it to a customer 5 orders behind me (must be a local?) and I had to wait another 5 minutes for them to cook an another haddock fillet to complete my order. TOTAL BULLS*it

Over priced small servings no coleslaw with fish platter and the tarter sauce was so gross. Seafood had a sour taste to them the onion rings were to salty.

Decent food, somewhat slow service. Expect a lot of loud cars and motorcycles driving by in the summer

Best damn place for clams EVAH!!!

Google User. We used to go to Tamarack 3-4 times each summer for many, many years. We went last week and that will be our last visit. We sat at a picnic table in the back and the building was badly in need of painting/repair - not very attractive to look at. The clams were expensive and DRY - and very few!!! The wait was too long. Sad because this was THE place to go every summer for great food. :(

This may have been the go to place for seafood and summertime fare but no longer. There wasn't any wait and the food was average. The sides were bountiful but the expensive main entrees (lobster rolls, hot dogs, etc...) were small portioned.

This place was good and the food was pretty legit. Try the shrimp for sure. The biker rallies that they have in this town are a little ridiculous in terms of having a dining experience you can actually talk at though, but that’s not the fault of this restaurant.

Before the summer started food was great huge portions then summer full swing and mostly fries on a fisherman's platter very dissapointed. Chowder had barely any clam in it I don't mind paying 6 to 7 bucks for a small if there is actually some seafood in the chowder.
