We stayed at the hotel for Labor weekend. From Friday thru Monday. Friday night, our server took hobby’s order wrong and he even blamed hobby for that 🙄. We had to wait forever for the server to come and take our order. Saturday morning, Mrs. Mary was our server and she was awesome! Very friendly and checking on us often...very attentive with us. Saturday night, the line was very long and we had to wait quite a while to be seated. Fortunately, we were seated in a section that our server was fast and brought out food quickly. Sunday night the line was long and we had to wait to be seated. We were seated at the same area than the night before. This time we got a different server. One of our daughters asked for a cheescake. We were told they were out of. Ok, she asked for a carrot cake and we were told that they were out of that as well. Fortunately, the server fount a last piece of cheescake and our daughter got it. At this point, the server should check very well before saying they were out of that item. Overall, the food was amazing. I could see some of the employees very overwhelmed since the cafe was full. But they should also understand that it was a long weekend and people is tired of being at home. People wanted to go out and enjoy a meal.
Horrible service. Stood at front for 15 minutes while they continually looked at us but never approached. Very slow between stops at table. Offered to get us drinks but never did. Ended up going to the bar for drinks while we waited for our food. The burgers didn't have much flavor and super heavy on the shredded bagged lettuce. They were also closed 20 minutes early when I just wanted an order of fries on a separate occasion. Was told hot food until midnight by the hotel/casino.
We always stop in and go to either the buffet or the Cafe. They were real busy(20 minute line). The food was HOT, GOOD AND SECTACULAR as well as the service was outstanding!!!! We WILL be back and RECOMMEND BOTH the Buffet and Casa Cafe to everyone. Good Job Guys!!!!!
Chinese food is my favorite thing on the menu. The service is good. My only complaint is if you order to go they charge you a fee even if you've eaten in and then order something to take home. So instead of ordering it to go, just order it and ask for box after. Tonight, I went to the counter and ordered Chinese to go. I was told the total $89 which you don't see the itemized list until they've run your card. I signed and tipped 20%. I know many don't tip that much on a to go order. I always do. I was asked if I wanted my receipt and said yes and then looked and saw after I left that I was charged a to go fee of $7. If I'd realized or been told I was getting charged $1 per item I would have adjusted my tip accordingly so it would still add up to 20%. I think they add the fee because maybe some don't tip. That's my assumption. I get that. But please tell me the amount that it is when I order so I can adjust my tip accordingly. It was not a cheap purchase and a $25 tip is a little cha-ching. I will continue to buy to go, it's awesome, but I will be adjusting my tip in the future.
Service are so slow. They server are just taking their time, you get someone attention and he said “no, I’m just taking drinks only”. Get another person in server uniform, she pointed someone else to us. We finally had “our” server looking at us, and he said “just a moment”. It’s only 4pm and the restaurant is only half filled. Now we know why there’s always a long line waiting outside.
While staying in mesquite we spent quite a bit of time at the Casa Blanca. Friday night we went to the restaurant and the food was good, as was the service. Saturday night we were in the casino and decided to get food. At 12:30 we went to the cafe. We were told they were closing soon so we were going to order to go as not to keep the staff there. We were told we were fine and we were seated. We were served our food after 1:00 (their normal closing time). At 1:20 the manager for the evening came to our table, while I was taking a bite of my meal he informed us that at 1:30 they have to pay overtime and that we needed to leave. It was stated very rudely to someone who was there as a paying customer when they told us we could come in and eat. I was not impressed at all with him. The wait staff was very good and attentive, but the manager was rude.
Hostess was very rude and acted like we did not belong there. Was very respectful the whole time. After getting seated, we waited for 30 mins and never got a server. We asked several times and got the response of “they will be there in a few”. Finally walked out. Just because you have a restaurant in a hotel does not make you above everyone else. Eat somewhere besides here.
OH MY GOD!!!!!! Let mnd tell you that my fiancee and I, eat out, alot. Also, we're are both, well, have been cooks in restaurants and i have also been a manager at 2 family style restaurants. We also both love to cook at home. So, we both know food... WELL. We both had chicken fried steak and eggs that also comes with hashbrowns and toast. That wad prolly the best looking plate since i was a cook. The chicken fried was excellent and very tender. The sausage gravy was bomb. It actually had real sausage in it. By that, i mean, they didn't cook a sausage patty and cut it up and then cover it with gravy. Over medium eggs were done and tasted as good as I've ever had. Last but not least, we're had white toast. Now let me tell you about this today. I who'd driver the half hour drive it takes to hey there, just for that toast. It was so light and fluffy and perfectly buttered. By far the best damned toast I've ever eaten. The service was great. Our waiter was amazing. I highly recommend going there. It's always been great everytime i go there and I've been going there for over 20 years. If you're a guy, there are lots of beautiful women and ladies there are to many guys the. Lol. The Casablanca is a greasy place to vacation too or just stop in to eat. I promise you'll be glad you did. 5 stars for sure
With the Covid 19 problem the buffets at the CasaBlanca are closed. This leaves the very expensive Katherine’s, the less pricey Mesa Cafeteria, which appears to be open only on weekends, and the more reasonable Casa Café with lots of good menu choices. We were staying in a bungalow at the CasaBlanca about 100 yards from the restaurant. The restaurant was very busy and seating was limited so we decided to order our food to go. We picked up our dinner and brought it back to the bungalow only to find that instead of the Southern Fried Chicken we had ordered we got the Chicken Fried Steak instead. Also, the side of jalapeños we ordered was missing. So we walked the 100 yards back to the restaurant and had to wait 20 minutes for them to correct the order. When we got back to the bungalow we found that they had still not given us the jalapeños. We got pretty disgusted and called the restaurant and asked them to have someone deliver the jalapeños as we were not walking back to the restaurant again. Let me point out that on their website the CasaBlanca states that they have “top-class room service” so this wasn’t an unreasonable request. The person on the phone at the restaurant wasn’t too happy but they did say they would deliver them when they “had time.” Of course, we never got the jalapeños. To be fair, the food we got was very good once we had our orders right. However, we were very disappointed that the restaurant didn’t our order right twice and wasn’t willing to correct their error by having someone walk 100 yards to our bungalow to make it all right.
