To this date, best coffee I have ever had. I have travelled a lot for work from coast to coast and cant find better. Currently reside in CO and order every month or so.

Black Coffee is a great place for drip. They sell beans by the bag and don’t shy away from creative roasts. Try a fancy toast with local honey or avocado and coconut oil… jam and brie.. Always a treat.

This is a great coffee shop. I am from the Portland, OR area and was in Missoula on vacation. I enjoyed a pour-over while in the shop which was prepared perfectly. The coffee was so good that I purchased a 12oz bag to take home. I will be mail ordering coffee from here in the future.

The coffee and toast are great. Friendly service and the open doors and seating plan make this place very warm and inviting.
The one down side is no wifi. I also like the lack of wifi as people will not camp out all day. As someone traveling a little bit would have been nice. But overall the place is great. Will be back.

The baristas are friendly and helpful. The coffee has always been spot on, and the food options are always fresh.
Tip- The toast may seem steep, but trust me, it's well worth the price.

Quirky and quaint with delicious coffee and great treats. I had my best ever Americano there! It was so good that after I finished one I had another one to go. I live hundreds of miles away, but if I'm ever driving this way I will go out of my way just to have another❤️

A great spot to start your day! Great coffee, awesome staff, and a laid back open concept.
Fresh toast with a small variety of toppings.
Ask about wifi while you're in, I couldn't see a clearly labeled open network.

I am a dark roast coffee drinker and these guys are all about the medium roast fad. That said the coffee I had was decent...not great, but not the typical acidic bitter flavor from so many of the “medium roaster” joints. The lemon poppyseed scone I had was bar none the WORST pastry I have ever had..(stale, poor bake, and there was a strange spice in there I couldn’t put my finger on that did not belong). In all fairness they’re not a pastry joint (shook the dice there and got the snake eyes). The coffee edged them just above the three star... If you’re a hipster, man bun fan, unkempt beard sporting Missoulian...you will love this place.

Such a cute spot for breakfast and a coffee! Love the feel! Disappointed that there isn't wifi because it would be a favorite place to study otherwise. Also, I'm not in love with BCRC's style of roasting. Often I find that the flavors are too salty and savory for my tastes.

$1 americano on Mondays and $2.00 every other day. Best deal in town for high quality coffee and friendly staff. Parking is a bit rough, but if you are downtown it's worth the walk from Higgins.
