Amazing food! The iced tea was delicious, and the shepherds pie was phenomenal. At first, I didn’t think I would like it. But boy was I wrong. If I’m ever in Missouri, I would come again.

The menu here has so many options you can find something for everyone. From a Friday night date to a lunch with Mom.

Swung by for a craft draft beer and it was delicious and served by wonderfully pleasant staff. Ambiance, with the wood-burning fireplace and French motif, was sophisticated yet warm and comfortable. Cafe is in a very charming historic building on the corner. Large windows allow sunlight to cascade throughout the cafe creating the perfect amount of natural lighting. Loaves of scratch-made bread available for purchase to boot! I absolutely love this place, and the myriad of handmade items in the shops next door. Janet’s Jalapeño & Berry compote is a must have!

We are visiting St Joe and we were looking for vegan options and this was one of the few places we found with a dedicated vegan menu.
First the good; staff was pleasant and attentive and the atmosphere is fantastic. We really enjoyed the vibe and for that reason 3 stars.
On to the not-so-good. The place has a vegan menu but when I went to order coffee I was told they don’t have plant milk options. I thought this was really strange as even most of my meat-eating friends opt for plant milk in their coffee; it’s really rare to find a place that only offers dairy with their coffee in 2022.
As to the food, we had the vegan shepherd’s pie and the vegan curry, with sides being split pea soup and hummus with pita. Unfortunately I had to send the shepherd’s pie back to the kitchen to be heated up as it was cold in the middle. I did enjoy the split pea soup and the curry was nice, but the rice that came with the curry was dried out and the pita that came with the hummus was served cold, which was somewhat disappointing.
All-in-all the food just missed the mark. Maybe it is because we come from an area that has a wide range of vegan options, but we came hungry and finished less than half of the food we were served. I’m a big eater and tend to clear my plate, but in this instance we didn’t even bother to get a box to take leftovers to the Airbnb.
TLDR; staff and atmosphere were fantastic, vegan food could use some improvements, and absolutely please offer plant-based milks for your coffee.

Grabbed lunch during St. Joe's Restaurant Week. They offered a menu that was themed to tastes of the Bay of Bengal which drew me in. Each component was on point. The Tom Kar soup - excellent and balanced. The chicken curry was rich and did not skimp on the poultry. The rum cake was just a smidge below my mother's rum cake but that is still high praise. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was European. If their restaurant week offering showcases what they're capable of, I will be a returning customer. Only complaint is their limited hours of service. It'd be a great place for a supper.

Great atmosphere. Good wine. Terrible food. The chicken lasagna was dry and had very little filling. The artichoke dip was extremely oily. The chocolate bourbon pecan pie was 2/3 crust and 1/3 dry chocolaty pecans. Overall...will not eat there again..

Beautiful ambiance and delicious food! The BLT with split pea soup, along with the shepherds pie and a slice of chocolate bourbon pecan pie was heaven.

Love the vegan menu!! The Shepard's pie and pea soup were excellent. The atmosphere is second to none in St. Joe. Can't wait to go back.
