The Coffee Ethic

The coffee roaster was huge! And you could tell they used it regularly even though they put it near the front door. There's this really nice seat where you can hide behind it by the window. The places usually especially a busy hours very loud, I like that there was like a little Bakers Island where she made Fresh Goods, the coffee was great. My dad and uncle and Aunt all got the same black Costa Rican. I got a caramel latte though. Dad let me try some of the Costa Rican coffee and you could drink it black and tell it was a very fruity coffee, to me it tasted a bit like blueberries and green beans.

Superbly enjoyable coffee shop. Simple black/drip is very good, one of the best (if not the best) I've tried in town.

Awesome staff and coffee, great location...can't ask for better. They also have a selection of amazing beer that you can't find on tap elsewhere in Springfield. If you like Perennial, these folks usually have it on tap.

Awesome atmosphere and staff. Great variety for the coffee connoisseurs, and delicious flavored lattes for the layman average joe (which is me). Also, can't beat that mission and commitment to ethical treatment of coffee farmers.

Clean. Friendly. Transaction a bit complicated. Felt like very cool, Brooklyn like shop. Worth a visit with friends and family to have a special coffee experience.

Brilliant place to get coffee! We love everything from the beans we pour over/aero press to the bottled spiced lattes to the unusual coffee drinks. We bring everyone here and start everybody on their coffee making path with coffee ethic beans.

Seeing other reviews makes me wonder what it was about the one time I visited the Coffee Ethic. I used to frequent Redezvous, but it closed, and I sometimes get a hot drink from the Mud House.

Anyway, the one time I visited was early in the morning. My coffee was served pretty quickly, but since it was "to go," it was in a foam cup with a lid. There was no sleeve or anything to make the cup easy to carry considering it contained a hot drink, which I couldn't sweeten or put cream into. The one member of staff, as I recall, was not very friendly.

Coffee Ethic got my business once, and that's all they'll get.

You want coffee they got it. You want something a little bit stronger they have it. I love Coffee ethic if I am feeling like a late morning brewsky I always hit them up first. Super chill place to read, or study if you are a student, also the front window seats make for great people watching on the square.

Really good coffee house on the square. I really like their Nitro brewed cold coffee. Or cold brew. Really rich robust flavor. Very refreshing with the summer heat. Located on the Square it's really a good place to hang out.
