The coffee is good!!! The service is friendly. (Which is hard to find these days) And the food is so good too. The atmosphere is very open space.

Roots is a great local shop. They have delicious breakfast items and great coffee. I have only been with my husband and kiddos but I would love to go for brunch and have their mimosas! Great place to grab a quick bite or to sit and chat for a while.

What an absolute diamond in the rough! We made a stop in Springfield on a recent road trip, me with some rather unpleasant notions about small towns, and certainly the culinary offerings.
I’ve never been happier to have been proven so wrong. The atmosphere reminded me so much of back east, I was almost homesick. It was a welcome reprieve from the fast food atmosphere of so many breakfast joints.
The staff accommodated our food restrictions, and Christine made me one of the best lattes I’ve had outside of Seattle. (Try the “Roots Brews!”)
All in all, we’ll be rerouting our next adventure just to make a stop in Springfield and our new favorite Midwest coffee shop!!

Well, some of the employees aren't too bright, and the coffee isn't great sometimes unless you ask for something better, so it's kind of weird but will always pick them over Starbucks. Wifi, good. Pastries, sandwiches, good. Very nice atmosphere.

I was very disappointed with my food, I thought the donuts, french toast and sandwich were all pretty dry and room temperature when they arrived. The french toast especially was disappointing, it seemed way over cooked, as though it were just burnt toast with syrup on the side. I enjoyed the chai latte but aside from that I felt like I had just wasted money on food that, from my past experience, seems kind of hard to mess up. The staff I talked to seemed nice enough when ordering, but afterwards no one came to the table check on my food and were hard to approach since they were engaged in their own conversations.

Great place to sip a cup of coffee. Very roomy inside. Music is very relaxing. The aurora of the coffee bar is subtle and intriguing. Plus the owner is entertaining.

We tried it out on Saturday and we really loved it! I got the smash Browns with sausage and it was delicious. My husband got the biscuits and gravy which were good. We got our daughter the yogurt and the berries in it were so fresh!! The atmosphere is relaxed and the building is large with plenty of room for our toddler to run around. We both got an iced latte and they were smooth. We will definitely be back. So glad to have a good coffee shop open on Sunday’s!! Friendly staff as well!
I will add they do not have decaf espresso and no iced coffee.

This is an excellent coffee shop. It has great coffee and excellent food. I love the choices for both. Coffee is hot and fresh as well as the food. They are great at helping with my paleo diet. Love this place! Oh yeah, they have a rewards card too.

The atmosphere gives me a warm feeling like I'm at an old friends house and the owner and staff are old friends. Very warm and inviting. The food is amazing and very affordable. I look forward to the next time I have a break from my hectic schedule so I can come in and recharge my mind. Love this place. Don't know how I ever survived without it!

Fast friendly service, lots of laughter shared with the staff. Adorable venue. HUGE breakfast menu compared to most other coffee shops and the breakfast sandwich I had was really delicious. They also serve mimosas and other boozy drinks if you are more interested in that. Lunch menu looked delicious. The only downside to this place is that they close at 3.
