Baxters Coffee and Donuts Lees Summit store 118

Baxters is pretty good! We haven't had much local donut competition with Lamar's being about the only place that compares.

I'm a big fan of the pastries - they have a nice selection of cheese, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, and lemon. They also have pineapple but I haven't tried it. The pastries run for about $5.00 each, which is a little pricey, but they are tasty.

Donut wise - I tried the sour cream old fashioned. It was good, but not the best I've had in Lee's Summit.

I'll go back for sure, since it's conveniently located and pretty decent overall.

Also, unlike other donut places, they actually have a decent selection past 8:00-9:00am. They seem to always have a good amount of donuts every time I've been there.

The donuts were amazing and we're so excited to have this option in our community.
For me though, the friendly and helpful staff really put this experience over the top.
This is now our go-to place.

Coffee is great. The cake donuts are meh. The breakfast sandwiches are not so great. I wouldn't recommend them. I took a couple bites of my sandwich and the egg was green and grey all over.

Donuts were great. White chocolate raspberry latte was delicious. We were pleased to see a full case of donuts at 10:15am on a Saturday. They were busy, but quick and the staff were all very friendly.

We have been waiting for a donut option closer to home and within our budget! We have been waiting for Baxter’s to open and hoping that they would deliver and they did! They had a good variety of cake and yeast donuts, filled, sprinkles, cinnamon rolls, donut holes, breakfast sandwiches, beverages hot and cold. The customer service at the counter was Grade A. We were greeted the minute we walked in, didn’t feel pressured to make our decision (which was good because my 4 yr old needs that extra time to choose), and after paying, customer service remained top notch. Happy we have another donut option in our town and one closer to our house! Hoping the positives carry on long after the luster of having just opened!

This coffee is delicious. I love to try different coffee shop frappes because that my favorite coffee drink. I will say, in my opinion, their frappe is better than Starbucks to me. I didn't give it 5 stars because the burrito had too much egg and not enough meat for me. Overall, it was delicious. I have to try to pastries, that may bring my stars up to 5. We will see.

Yet another edit: HAPPY to say we got filled Long John's, and they were perfectly filled!! Thank you for taking the time to respond, you guys are great!

Edit for Baxter's response. I got a Bavarian long john with just a hole poked. The other was a marshmallow fluff long john with a teeny tiny bit. I'm sure it was probably a clogged nozzle or an honest mistake. Won't keep me from buying them in the future :)

These donuts beat so many others. The dough isn't too sweet. The icing is the right thickness my only qualm is the filling. The last two times I have gotten a filled and taken it home it was void of filling. Idk if the nozzles are clogged or what but I wish I could get a properly filled one. I live too far away to run back and have them fix it. Next time I'll have to stay and eat it there.

I've been here three times and no matter what time of day, they always have an abundance of FRESH donuts. Most places you have to get there at the crack of dawn to get a fresh donut. This place makes them ALL DAY! I also like how you can order ahead through the website. This place is a dream come true!

They had a very large selection of doughnuts and the coffee is more affordable that most places around. I would like to go back and have red velvet. My Apple Fritter was good but nothing amazing or wow factor so looking forward to trying doughnuts next time. The staff was very prompt and friendly and the place is clean.

We went inside to grab some donuts today. The cake donuts are perfectly dense. 10/10 Really friendly staff and a clean store. I'm happy we tried Baxter's! We will be back to try more.
