Great relaxed atmosphere. Try the iced coffee with a little bit of simple syrup and 1/2 and 1/2.

Love this coffee shop! The coffee is consistently delicious and well worth the price. We don't live downtown, so we buy beans to make our own. It's good enough for us to drive 25 min into the city weekly to get our fix.

This place is usually really good! I love the coffee and breakfast foods are great!
The do a good job making lattes with the perfect amount of foam. The last time I was there I wanted to try something different and the girl behind the counter didn't know what three of the drinks were. I figured working there she would have tried one but I ended up getting a tea that she said was sweet and it was not. Not a big deal, it was still good just make sure you ask someone who has tasted the drinks if you are taking a gamble.
Parking is a nightmare if you are trying to get into the lot. I recommend parking on the street so it's easier to get out!

The highlight of this shop was the tables. Looked like all reclaimed wood. The bathroom was clean and gender neutral as well. Alright, let’s get down to it, though. The service was kind but not above and beyond by any means. Seriously people, walk out the drinks. My name is not espresso. Also, if you are looking for high quality coffee, this is not the place for you. It was substandard at best. Milk was way too hot and espresso was dirty tasting with a horrible finish. Just needs work. The place has potential, just needs to grow a bit on the quality end.

An excellent coffee shop in KC. The seating, table space, and crowd (when I was there) made it much more comfortable to sit and talk with a small group than Quay.
The espresso I had was very comparable to Quay. Presentation was excellent, and it was a pretty great brew.
The baristas I spoke with were well-informed about all their coffees, and cared about doing their job well.
I'd like if they had more diversity in the coffees offered. That's the primary difference between this and Quay that I noticed, since PT's roasts their coffee, for better or worse.

I started coming here for the Kyoto brew. I keep coming back for proximity, fast service, and the excellent baristas. PT's seems very proud of being a KC business, and share their enthusiasm by inviting local artists to display their work, and post flyers for upcoming performances. There are always a few tables with open laptops. Conversation ranges from casual to business. It can get loud, but not unbearable. Table cleanup during busy periods is tough, so cleaning up after yourself is encouraged. If you're looking for the sidebar, it's next to the front door. It's small enough that people will reach across your cup to get their cap and sleeve. I wish it was bigger. That's what she said.

Very nice flat white and vanilla latte. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. My only complaint is the barista filled both drinks up to the point of nearly overflowing, so when I picked them up to take them to our table, they spilled a bit.

I'm a writer, and I'm always looking for a great spot to crack down and get inspired. Among my favorite places for this is PT's Coffee. There is a large seating area, as well as outdoor seating, free Wi-Fi, and large tables for setting up your workstation to study, design, write, discuss, or whatever else you need to do.
The only issue is that free parking in this area only allots for about 2 hours. You'll need a parking pass for a nearby lot if you intend to stay longer than that.
The coffee is excellent. I recommend cold brew, especially as we get into the summer months, but I've never had a coffee here that I didn't enjoy black.

It was my first time in Kansas City I wandered in here on a rainy Friday afternoon and I am so happy that I did. The place was inviting and warm and Josh (the owner?) was so kind and friendly. After telling me the best spots to go in town he gave me a free cappuccino (which was brilliantly constructed) and welcomed me to his beloved city. This place gets 5 starts all day.

Excellent cup of coffee. Three roasts on offer when I visited, had the light medium for the caffeine. Lovely friendly staff. Everything an Exile wants while locked out form home country.
