I love that they can roast small batches by the pound. They are really nice people and are customer oriented. They are also incredibly talented at serving amazing coffee. I am from Texas and AM always thrilled when I can find fresh roasted coffee beans.

With a few additional seasonal offerings besides a traditional coffee and espresso menu, Headrush Roasters has entered the running for one of my top favorite non-chain coffee shops in KC. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, and the drive-thru is handy. I will be frequenting more often during the winter months.

Excellent coffee. Better than Starbucks and I had been going to there for years but not anymore. This will be my coffee hotspot from now on. You can tell its fresh roasted coffee when you drink It. Its delicioso! I am addicted to Headrush coffee now. The staff is very nice as well. I do wish they had more locations but other than that they are A+ in my book. If you are a coffee drinker you must give them a try.

Best place to get real coffee scrumptious sweet breads and friendly staff. I'm 100% addicted to Headrush! Also, I'm a big supporter of small business so makes it more worth the extra trip to go Ther in my opinion. Seriously in love.

A really nice but small list of unusual specialty coffee drinks. The Spicy Rush and Sunset Rush were both delicious, not too sweet or "froo froo." They also have a drive thru, so that's cool. The establishment itself is small, not much seating. I'm glad I found this place and will be back!

Headrush is an absolute gem- I've taken many out-of-state friends here for a treat. Staff (and owner!) has been nothing but excellent and friendly, smiling faces every single time. The interior is quite small, so if you want to camp and work your plans may be muddled by other customers, but that's seriously the only fault I can find! I've purchased lots of Root Down Tea blends for pals and they're always a hit as well. Good times!
7/14/16: Updating my review from last year, and everything still stands; this is still my favorite little place around here. :]

Dropped by and picked up some Papa New Guinea - fun watching them roast if for you - 6 minutes later you have freshly roasted coffee!
This is my work stash, so I had them grind it for french press....the smell was intoxicating, so I brewed up a small batch when I got back to work. Absolutely fantastic cup of coffee! Can't wait to try the other varieties they offer.

Went to this place for the first time and loved it. I was looking for a locally-owned, non-corporate place and this was perfect. I had the Headrush Matcha Latte and it was delicious. Really cool to know they use true matcha. The baristas and owner were very friendly and very knowledgeable about their product. The owner made it a point to talk to me and introduce himself. I definitely plan on going back and would recommend this place to others.

Forget about Starbucks, support this independent local coffee and tea house. Experience the uncompromised Italian style espresso made with Italian made manual espresso machine La Marzocco. It is cozy and family friendly with very nice people.
