Joy Coffee

Finally a third wave coffee shop in Independence! Joyco has an absolutely beautiful space with tons of natural light with ample and diverse seating options. They have cafe tables for eating and studying, soft couches and chairs for lounging, a marble tulip table for small groups up to five, multiple bars and even a separate kid friendly seating area with toys!!

Their coffee is incredible from a roaster in Nashville called Stay Golden. There is no other coffee shop like this is Independence. They have a wide array of pastry options like English scones, cookies, cinnamon rolls, cakes and more hearty foods like quiche, sandwiches and salads.

The baristas are friendly and the space will leave you with a smile.

Joy Coffee was a great place to have a cup of coffee and a pastry. I would highly recommend going there to meet with friends or even a one on one business meeting.

I was served an excellent cup of an African blend on drip, and an excellenter service from the barista. After being in the coffee industry for over 6 years I can't tell you how rare it is for an equally experienced barista to be genuine, kind, and knowledgeable!

During the current crisis they are open for dine-in, which is increasingly hard to come by these days.

Lovely atmosphere & delicious coffee! As a momma with three littles I’m grateful for the separate play area for kiddos. Perfect location for a coffee date!

Beautiful venue, amazing pastries, and best coffee in the KC metro! A little out of the way, but worth the extra joy from this local shop.

Great coffee shop! Didn’t feel churchy at all and was blasting some great tunes. The food and drinks were great as well!
