This place is great. From a cup of coffee or a smoothie or just sitting down to do some studying or relax with your friends over a muffin. Atmosphere is great and the service is nice and very tolerable of all the high school children that are there before and after school doing homework and what not :-)It's great to know my teen can go there and study and the staff be so tolerable and accommodating. Not to mention there Smoothies are worth a stop for.

Good place. Good coffee. Good service. Knowledgeable by recess. Stylish and design. Excellent place to study. Quiet. Pleasing music. You should give it a try you won't be disappointed. In the evening there is a large crowd that studies and Chit Chats.

Wow, today our family visited The south location of The Grind. What a place. We were greeted with great hospitality! The owner walked in after us jumped on the line to help make our drinks! Order The Aucky signature espresso-super smooth with a great kick of caffine. Yum! We will be back!

Wonderful coffee shop with an absolutely great atmosphere and friendly staff! The only thing I wish they improved was their baked goods. I think those could be higher quality, but they aren’t bad!

As a medical student, I'm always looking for the best coffee shops, both for the caffeine and a place to study. The Grind is by far my favorite place in Columbia for coffee - the Aucky is a special drink that is particularly good! If you're more of a traditional coffee fan, the Black and Gold roast beats most home brewed stuff.

As far as studying goes, it's one of the better places for outlets on the South side, and they have a nice variety of one-person to four-person tables so studying in a group isn't an issue. The WiFi is consistent, and the background music is a nice touch that doesn't intrude on the experience like at other shops.

The biggest drawback to The Grind is lack of food - they have 2 paninis and avocado toast, and then a variety of bakery options. Also it can get very crowded at times, which is a good problem to have!

This is a great coffee shop! Fantastic baked goods as well as coffee. The service is good and the outdoor patio is a nice place to spend some time while you enjoy your treats.

A truly lovely coffee shop with an amazing atmosphere and great drink selection. Located right across the street from the high school and relatively close to the university, The Grind is the perfect spot to study/work, host a casual meeting, or meet with some friends to catch up and chat. Their porch is absolutely spectacular when the weather is nice and their Wifi is reliable and fast. All of their standard drinks are fantastic, but I would definitely recommend giving their Chai Latte and their Adult Chocolate Milk (which is made with cold brew, mocha, white mocha, and milk) a try. If you're a fan of smoothies but still want your caffeine fix, then their Red Bull Berry Blaster is amazing, and I highly recommend their Chipotle Chicken Panini if you need a quick bite to eat. Their Grinders are phenomenal if you want something a bit more sugary, and the service is fantastic. Aucky, the owner, is one of the kindest and friendliest people I've ever met and I love that they source the majority of their products from local businesses.

My husband and I love their mocha grinders! The coffees are iced but like a smoothie, very yummy. We have not eaten there yet but we intend to.

Great place for coffee. Employees have always been helpful and in great moods. Love that I can go in there and work in a quiet seating area as well.

Not very good. I had a grinder and cookie. Hubby had a mocha. Neither of us could taste any espresso in our drinks. I make these drinks better at home. The cookie had too much salt. Total waste if money.
