Very lackluster to say the least. The staff was unorganized and didn’t seem to have any sort of seating chart set up, we ended up sitting with another couple at a large table (which we were asked if it was okay before we were seated, it was not a problem but did seem a bit odd). Whenever our food arrived the person that brought it out didn’t exactly know to who or where it went, which caused a bit of frustration and confusion for everyone involved as the food was also brought out partially for the other couple, and partially for us. The food was pretty bland, but was palatable with plenty of salt and hot sauce (We both had the Branson Skillet). The biscuits were gummy, but we do have to say the coffee was quite good at least, especially the cold brew. On top of all this (after having to wait to be seated) we actually ended up waiting for our food over 30 minutes.

We’ll stick with Farmhouse when we visit Branson again.

(3.5⭐️) A scratch made dinner for $12.99 is a bargain these days. I love the old school atmosphere and the history here. The food: unfortunately “scratch made” doesn’t guarantee great flavor. The sides were great, strange to say but the green beans were the highlight and would be the reason I give them another chance. The yeast roll was also fantastic and something I haven’t found like this in years. The chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and the white gravy all lacked flavor.

The biggest issue was the service, not the servers fault however. (New Manager please take this as helpful constructive criticism) I entered about 6:30 pm on a Tuesday. The place was mostly empty but you could tell the one and only server was stretched thin. As I ordered another table came in, then another and another. You CAN NOT leave a server with zero help no matter how slow it “usually” is. No buss person, no cashier and worst of all no manager to step in and help. If you are brought in to turn things around the last thing you do is say “we won’t be busy”, if you get busy and can’t serve your costumers they will not return.

The pictures of breakfast looks better than the lunch / dinner items, I hope it is. I’ve dined at another downtown diner and it was ok, not memorable. If the real old school Branson is to survive, all the locality owned downtown (and strip) restaurants need to step up, and quick. The chains are moving in, the big name entertainers are leaving or passing. If establishments like The Branson Cafe aren’t careful and proactive the very reason people come to Branson will disappear, then so will the crowds.

Located in the heart of historic old town Branson. Tasty food. Enjoyed the vegetarian omelette and the thick biscuit. Hash browns were a little oily. Intermediate pricing. Would revisit.

They have the greatest cinnamon rolls you can get your hands on! Also, the Bacon Bloody Mary is one of the best my family has ever tried! 10/10 We will definitely come again!

We were in on a semi off day and later for breakfast. Large party and they sat us right away. The service was impeccable and the food was wonderful! Great portions and delicious home cooked breakfast! They ladies kept our coffees full and were on top of the order and clearing dishes. Just amazing overall!

This place is not only clean, but the food is great! I wish I had known about this spot on my 5 previous recent Branson trips! They even have mimosas and bacon bloody Mary’s. We tried the hash browns and a Reuben. Very delicious and kid friendly. Bathrooms were 9/10 clean this place is very recommended

We didn't know this at the time but this is Branson's oldest restaurant! It's a classic dinner with fantastic breakfast food. The biscuits and sausage gravy were as good as biscuits and gravy can get. The pancakes were the best I've ever had. We didn't get a cinnamon roll but that's only because we didn't see them until after we paid. Next time we go back we'll give them a try. The 1 missing star for atmosphere is a testament to their incredible food, when we went there was a bit of a wait but it was well worth it!

My wife and I ate breakfast here on 5/2/23. We had coffee for starters and shared a cinnamon roll waiting for our breakfast. My wife ordered eggs over easy and bacon, I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs over medium. Both of our meals were cooked to perfection. The reason for the 3 stars is that even though the food was good, we felt we were deceived! We chose this restaurant because of the 4.4 rating and the 1 dollar $ rating. We had 2 coffees, 1 cinnamon roll, and 2 meals. The check was almost $39. Wow! Outrageous!
I wish we could recommend this restaurant because the food was good, but we cannot! We feel we were ripped off! The restaurant menu prices are considerably higher than the online prices! This restaurant should be rated at $$, not $. If you decide to dine here, get ready to lay down some bucks, it's not a good value!

Maybe better at breakfast? We went in for lunch on a Saturday. Had immediate seating and our waitress was very kind. I know the cost of goods has gone up but $13 for a few slices of bacon with some lettuce and tomato seems a bit steep compared to the $7 for three enormous pancakes. We’re tourists, so I probably won’t have the chance to go back as we like to try new places.

Ann Marie was incredibly kind with quick service. I got biscuits and gravy with a side of eggs and bacon, my wife got french toast. The bacon was very crispy, too crispy for my taste but my wife loved it. I'd recommend requesting it less cooked if that's a big deal for you. The sausage gravy for my biscuits was good, nothing fancy but it wasn't bland and flavorless. We also ordered one of their homemade cinnamon rolls but we were so full from our meal we took it to go, it's a large roll. Overall I had a pleasant experience and would definitely visit again.
