D'Cracked Egg

It was my very first time coming to this restaurant celebrating my cousin graduation. The lady did say it would take a little while but not no two and half hours for our food. It’s a Saturday morning (graduation day a lot of schools are having graduation) but if you are short handed let your customers know and bring out ALL OF THERE ORDERS. Yes I understand some things are cook faster but bacon and eggs aren’t that hard to make. Around @11:35 we got pancakes some with tenders and some without nothing else. We told the lady from the beginning when we got the table we had to go to another event if she would’ve told us it was going to take this long we would have taken our business somewhere else. I don’t believe a manager suppose to argue with he or she customers. Long story short my experience was horrible. If I could give them negative Five I most definitely would. I have worked in a restaurant and fast food places so I understand but how they handle the situation wasn’t good. If you walk away from a customer that’s trying to pay you should wait instead of being on your phone on FaceTime. You still have our customers waiting on you and you aren’t doing your job ma’am.

Based off the reviews and all the good things I’d heard i was excited to try this place out. We went for my best friends bday brunch and to say i was disappointed was an understatement. They only had one waitress, one cook and the bartender was also the manager who rude to say the least. After deciding what we wanted on the menu we were told that half the menu was unavailable because they were out of most of the food and that the cook didn’t know how to make certain items on the menu!?! The mimosas were good but the waitress was so confused about the menu and drinks she couldn’t even answer any of our questions about the menu she had to go ask the manager each time we had a question. The manager never came to the table to apologize or even ask how things were going and when tickets were incorrect she told the waitress she wasn’t going to fix them. The service was horrible the food was decent and the drinks were good.

I went here the other day and the food was nasty and the staff was rude. The food was cold and the eggs were rubbery like they microwaved them. The staff was unkind. After seeing other reviews about food poisoning and rude staff, I'm glad I'm not the only one speaking out about my bad experience. Wish I had never gone here. Don't waste your time!

The food that my husband and I ate was good except the Mac and cheese was too cheesy and we don’t like our gravy on our hamburger steaks to be chunky and thick. Other than that, the food was fine. The reason I give this place 2 stars is because of CUSTOMER SERVICE. The young lady at the entrance who “greeted” us and was also our server was AWFUL to say the least. Keep in mind this is our first time ever eating at this place. We’ve heard so many good things about their food just to be disappointed the moment we walked in the door. When we approached the podium to be seated, the young lady was on the phone speaking rude to someone. Then, when we went to go seat ourselves the tables were dirty and they were not busy AT ALL. So there’s no reason why the tables shouldn’t have been cleaned. It was very clear she wasn’t the person for the job. She has no people skills and she shouldn’t be the face of the place. The owner checked on us more than she did and when she finally decided to clean the tables she was talking on her phone (ON THE CLOCK)! She just had a ugly demeanor about herself. I was NOT enthused or impressed with the place like I expected to be. Very disappointed. On the bright side though, the owner himself was hospitable and kind.

Read reviews about this place and had to check them out. When we arrived we were greeted by a host and the place looked pleasant. I read about the pancakes being great, it was ok, but far from great. Eggs was good and grits was even better. With pancakes and eggs you get a chose of meat, I ordered the sausage, you only get one and it was small and over cooked.

When back in town will I seek this place out, I dont think so.

Excellent food and service. Will definitely go back. Food is fresh and made to order. I am pretty "picky" about taste don't dole out food compliments readily. (The food in southeast LA will spoil you for sure.) This restaurant is definitely a "keeper".

My wife and I really enjoyed breakfast here. Great service and HUGE portions. We would definitely return.

We flew to Tupelo Ms this past weekend. We chose D’ Cracked Egg from their great reviews and we were not disappointed. Great atmosphere! Delicious mimosas and an even more delicious breakfast. They kept our coffee cups full and could tell we weren’t from around there. They were super friendly and asked us where we were headed to next. Thank you Brandy for your wonderful service! We will visit again!

I wished my breakfast looked as good as some of the pictures in the reviews. The eggs were pale, the bacon was mostly fat, and everything only had the taste of grease. Even the toast only tasted of grease.

Very nice spot for breakfast. Casual environment and wonderful staff, friendly and attentive. Food was delightful! We were just passing through Tupelo and are glad we found this wonderful place!
