D'Cracked Egg

My friend and I both got food poisoning from this place. Owner was rude, attitude filled, argued about my whole situation and just all over trash. His wait staff included. (Besides one gentleman named Justin) Refuses to give a refund even though besides it getting us sick, it was cold and how do you have country gravy taste like old blueberries. Bottom of the barrel place.

The closest you will get to a good homemade breakfast! My favorite is the hash brown casserole!

Monday morning. Hostess was super friendly and helpful. She was also our waitress, excellent!! Chef came out and talked to us. Food was excellent and mire than enough food!! Awesome lil gem!!

As I write, I have been waiting over an hour for service. It took ten minutes for my party of five, including three children to be acknowledged by the hostess/waitress. As I waited, I counted seven empty tables (five that had yet to be bussed). Once seated, it took a further thirty minutes for the same waitress to take our initial drink order. On the upside, we were able to place our food order along with the drink order as we had plenty of time to thoroughly read the menu.

Finally, the drinks arrived (two coffees and some milks for the kids). We casually drank our coffees. After what I would consider a reasonable amount of time required to drink a cup of coffee, we waited another ten minutes or so. With no indication that the waitress would return, I approached her at the till to request a coffee refill. I am still waiting.

A portion of our food has now arrived at the hour and forty minute mark and am still waiting on a second cup of coffee.

Pancake portions were more than adequate, chicken and waffles were disappointing and resembled a waffle one would expect from the free continental breakfast in a motel. It came adorned with two overdone chicken strips. Avoid the grits casserole.

The floors are sticky and restrooms are frightening.

I found myself hungry and knowing nothing about Tupelo MS stopped in at a place called D’Cracked Egg. Best decision I made all morning the food was amazing. The pancakes are sooo moist they just melt in your mouth. The music in the background was soothing to the ears and the cook, she actually came to my table and asked if I was happy with my service. My answer: Oh yeah!

Very friendly service, nice clean atmosphere. Our food was wonderful. We started with a mimosa, my niece had the waffle sandwich, sausage egg gravy and waffle, I had the western omelet with wheat toast delicious!

Great experience. Owner was honest from the start that they were short staffed and wait could be a little long for food even though we could be sat right away. The wait ended up not being long at all and service and food were both great. Would definitely come back if in the area and definitely recommend anyone looking for a good breakfast in the area to try it out.

We were there last Sunday for brunch 11:41am, we ordered and it took almost 45 mins to get our food to the table. I think they were short staff, no communication nor update from the servers or the person in charge that time? Overall the food was good.

It’s a nice looking restaurant on the inside. The food was okay (bacon was great, eggs cold). The waitress was trying, but seemed to be inexperienced(had to go to ask the owner numerous questions). The owner tried to be hospitable & talkative, but it made me uncomfortable when he guessed my age completely wrong. I probably will stick with Brick & Spoon because of the overall experience there as opposed to here.

Looking for that down home cooking, this is the place to go. You may have to wait a while, but it's well worth it. Portions are big!
